Martinez Marina Bait & Tackle

If you are going to fish or launch a boat your going to want to step on in to the bait shop. Stocked with gear and both live and frozen bait as well as snacks including beer y'all. Also you can buy your license here. Register here for the annual Diamond Classic Sturgeon derby. 2018 date being January 27. $25 entrance fee and pot of $$ to win depends on amount of entries. Reception after. My family participates every year! The ladies that run the shop ( there is a guy or two, also) are friendly and efficient and helpful with 'insiders' knowledge of what is catching where. Favorite thing though, I love the porch where there is always a few 'seasoned' anglers kicking it with their dogs and chatting. Makes me smile and remember my grandpas favorite response to "how are you?", he would say " well, sun shining, fish ain't biting".

I like how they open up at 6:00AM and the lady working there is super nice. She also offered to give me ice to keep my bait cool.The store layout makes it easy to see what you're looking for.I'd phone in ahead to see if they have a specific bait you're looking for like Bullheads.Great bait shop right next to a good dock.

They have a nice selection of gear and bait here and seemed stocked up on everything on the menu.. the lady behind the counter was also really nice here. Plus it's right near downtown Martinez so there is a lot to do if anyone with you isn't into boating.

MTown - Independence Day Parade, 2010.This wasn't our plan today, but there we were, having breakfast in downtown Martinez at 9.30a when we got word that the parade started at 10a. The wee ones should see a Proper Small Town Parade. It was hot enough out already and there were plenty of paraders (?) throwing sticky, gooey candy at my kids as they umm, paraded by, so when somebody from Martinez Marina Bait & Tackle reached into a bucket, I cringed just a bit.She didn't head for my kids, but straight for me, and she handed me a bottle of ice cold water (oh, and a bumper sticker). Awesome.When I need bait and or tackle, I'll remember their way of thinking... brilliant.

Stopped by on our way out into the bay for a day of fishing. The lady working the shop was more than willing to tell us what the fish were biting on, how to hook certain baits, and even gave us ice to keep the bait cold. She told us what radio channel was active in the area and who we could contact for more fishing tips.I will always stop in here to give them my business when I'm in the area.Great customer service, nice selection of baits, and gear.

So I stop by, with a couple of buddies to pick up some bait. Yesterday afternoon (March 26 2017) We were slightly indecisive on whether to get 3 or 4 dozens of Pileworms. The male cashier at the time, over heard our debate. Then the cashier with aggression and attitude, said "So, have you guys made up your mind yet? Is it going to be 3 dozen or 4 dozen?" I felt that the cashier was being very rude and disrespectful. I'm very skeptical on bring my business back to this place..

Only been here once, and once is good enough. Very pricey and the worker was kinda rude. The only good thing about my visit here was that they have bait in stock. Maybe no one wanted them cause they're pricey.

Broke a pole i bought there a few weeks ago! They let me exchange for a better rod! Just had to pay the difference! Great trustworthy customer service!!!!!

Awesome little shop small but has Bassically everything you need. Frozen bait and live bait always my go to shop.

Only go when u dont know where to go buy . Store policy it not accommodate. They recommend wrong bait n help u buy wrong things n no refund. Very Limitted Supplies n dont have clue about fishing even though they sell fishing baitn tackle.
