Mariscos El Cachanilla

Such great customer service! Found on a fluke! Food was so fresh I don't even like octopus and it was actually sooo good! Everything was FRESH with fresh yes there's a wait! If you want your food rushed or premade and reheated then go elsewhere lol but if you want fresh and authentic this is your go to! The prices are also so good and reasonable especially in a time everything is extremely high it's nice to be able to sit down in a nice place and not be charged an arm and a leg and again eat freshly prepared food with fresh ingredients.

I'm a pescatarian and only eat fish. Never tasted meat products and never plan to. During my 63 years I've visited 43 U.S. and tasted the worst and some of the best. This chief deserves more than five stars. The truthIs this food is the best I've ever eaten. I live 10 minutes from San Francisco and still find this place the best. so ever time I go to visit my picky father from Mexico this is our favorite place.This chief needs to be hired by some of the best seafood restaurants in San Francisco top rated restaurant.

Bland. Missing too many ingredients on ToGo orders. Adding things I didn't order and then charging for them. Used to be good. Lacking now.

20 minute wait for dry ceviche de Jaiva -___- very disappointed to say the least, I just was hoping for the ceviche to have that watery flavor that Mariscos have. Literally could have made this at home it was just ceviche, diced tomatoes and cucumbers & onion that was it. I guess once putting the lemon/ketchup and tapatío sauce - mixing it up that makes up for it...

I got the shrimp canchanilla, omg the sauce was so good! It had a spicy, cheesy flavor to it that to die for! It's like a chipotle sauce but not as spicy and it has Mexican queso in it. The only thing I didn't like was the yellow rice. It had no flavor and it dint come with beans. But over all was good. It was $17.00, for that price it should of came with beans and homemade tortillas‍

It's hard finding good Mariscos in Stockton. After hearing good things about the food decided to give this place a try. Food: I ordered an empanada with pulpo and shrimp, and a tostada with shrimp ceviche. My mom ordered an empanada with shrimp and a small shrimp coctel. They don't skimp on any shrimp or octopus so that's good, but they can step it up with the flavor. Empanadas are crisp and flaky, served hot. When we asked if the empanadas are one single or several, and if it's large the lady just pointed to the picture. Ok that tells us everything. So if you order it is a very large empanada closer to the size of a small calzone. It's served with a salad and rice. The rice isn't worth the calories as it tastes like nothing. Service: Terrible service. The ladies at the front let us wait until they could be bothered to take our orders. No greetings, no eye contact, and she couldn't even answer simple questions about the food. I didn't even know if she was ready to take my order as she acted like she was doing something avoiding eye contact at all costs. Being the first time I've ever gone I had a few questions as I didnt want to over order. Ordering in Spanish didn't help get any more answers, so may as well not even ask. The only decent service was the cook/bus man who helped clean the tables. He brought the rest of our food to our tables and was kind. Dunno what crawled up the lady's butt, but she shouldn't be working in service if she's that unfriendly. Maybe the only way to order is take the food to go, because it's sh!t service when it's empty, couldn't imagine how much worse it can get. I'll still be looking for good Mariscos in Stockton .

4 family members (including myself) decided to stop by for late lunch, staff wasnt very friendly, the menu on the IQ code was not what they had in the kitchen, we asked for several thing out of their menu but we got more "we dont" than "we do", our waitress came to our table to "drop" our napkins, tortillas and saltine crakers (no chips n salsa like 99% of the rest of mexican places)...the food was "ok" but no salt shakers, silverware or even a bottle of hot sauce on he table at all... not coming back again

Best seafood in town!! Sushi is also really great too!! My favorite is the tostadas and tacos

Don't recommend. There's many good sea food places and this just isn't one of them. The food I got was bland and in all honesty didn't taste fresh. Save yourself the trouble.
