Anji Reddy Dirisanala has still not refunded my uncle almost $8k for services never received. Found a lot of legal cases against him so I'll be sending him a legal letter to his home in Cupertino.

Apparently my original review was removed due to providing the truth about the the previous crook Jason who ran this facility. Thank God there are new people running it. I have come to terms with the fact Jason got away with fraud and extortion.

DO NOT BRING YOUR BOAT HERE! My fiance and I just purchased our first boat from a very knowledgeable boater. He was upfront with the work that needed to be done, and has actually been super helpful even after the sale. The boat was already dry docked at Marine Emporium. After the sale, we met Jason.. (the Man In Charge) within 2 minutes of our very first conversation he was telling us that our boat was in horrible condition, and that it was not fixable.. that the steel pontoons had thousands of holes in them, and that we would never be able to get insurance. He tried to get money out of us that had already been paid by the previous owner, to put the boat back in the water. We spoke to many experts and had people look at the pontoons, there were maybe 20 fixable holes. Conveniently, Jason just happen to have some aluminum pontoons that he was trying to sell for $8,000, not including labor! He tried every trick in the book to squeeze money out of us. This guy is the worst kind of snake, and will do anything he can to get the most money out of you! Pease beware!! We have already moved our boat out of there, as we do not want to do business with this kind of man. He is unprofessional, and extremely dishonest! You have been warned.

I feel bad for the people who felt duped by Jason. We met him a couple months ago and he towed our boat from Oakley to his yard, he power washed, zinc, and did an inspection of our boat, He did some minor repairs to the engine and towed our boat back and put it back for us. We had US tow so it didn't cost us for the tow. His price was about what we were quoted everywhere else. We have an old 1970's houseboat. He made some recommendations but didn't pressure us to do the repairs. It was pretty seamless really.

Absolutely Stay Away!!!Jason Jones is a crook that steals customer's money and leaves them with hidden problems after working on their boats. I had my 31' Sea Ray pulled out and the engines removed so I could take them to a rebuild shop. The crew busted both bellhousings in the removal process because they forgot to remove the bolt in the starter housing. Instead they got in there with crow bars and busted both bellhousings. When my engines were ready to be put back in Jason sat on them for 3 months stating he was having a hard time finding replacement bellhousings. 10 minutes online and a short 20 minute drive to HiTide in San Rafael and Anthony handed me the exact ballhousing that was needed. Jason later explained that they had to remove my Hurth Transmissions and mount them to the motors to get them installed (this is important later). After Marine emporium installed the engines (Just the bare engines not dressed) I came out and looked around and noticed that the starboard engine was hanging by 1 bolt in the motor mount. I addressed this with Jason and he said he would have his guy fix it. Fast Forward a few months (yes a few months of me paying to have my boat sitting up in the yard). I hired my own mechanic to dress the engines and get me moving on the water. When we finished assembling the manifolds, risers, exhaust, carbs, ignition, etc. we fired up the engines threw the shaft on the starboard motor. How? The coupler was never secured when Marine Emporium re-installed the engine/transmission. This is an absolute rotten place to take your boat. Record keeping is ridiculous, management is just there to take peoples money, there is NO quality to any work they do, and at some point someone is going to get seriously hurt or killed because of their shoddy mechanics. Do your research. Be warned about this place.

I have used this Boat yard to Haul out 3 Yachts now that I own. Jason the owner has earned my return Bussiness. I am a Automotive/RV Technician and Collision repair specialist so I can do 95% of my own repairs. Jason has the only Boat yard around where you can actually work on your own yacht if you want. He is very knowledgeable and helpful with offering advice on repairs even when I was doing the work myself. He also has a crew that will do any repair you need done and stand behind his work. While my Boat's were in his yard I never had a issue what so ever. The on site ship store had much of what I needed to complete all my parts needs and they will order what they don't have in stock. I am a bargan shopper and found that his prices were close to and sometimes even cheaper than e-Bay and Amazon which made me very happy. I did have Jason,Allen, and Neil do some repairs I did not have the Specialty tools to perform myself and I was very pleased with their workmanship and attention to detail and most of all Safety. I also found him to be a honest STREIGHT forward person which is rare to find in a Bussiness owner hints why I am a return customer. A+

Where to start. When they were getting ready to lift my boat out, I asked Anji if he had lifted a cut-away full-keel sailboat before. He said "yes, yes" and immediately started trying to lift the boat by the rudder, which would destroy the rudder and severely damage the hull. I had to scream at them to get them to stop. I should have cancelled everything there and left.Talking to Anji on the phone before hand, a few weeks before then the day before coming in, I asked if they could do the work I needed done and if they had the capacity (no one else did but I should have just waited, but someone I trusted recommended them). Anji said yes, yes, they can work on my boat and fix the stern tube leak. After the haul out, he spent probably half an hour talking with me. Since my haul out, I've seen him do this with everyone -- he likes to schmooze. I've seen him talk to wealthy boat owners and paint rosy pictures repeatedly as nothing was done on their boat.Again I went over the work that I wanted them to do and what I knew about the problem, but Anji's mechanic compatriot hadn't heard a word of what Anji promised but left with "yeah, if you want us to do it, we can do it", but then said he needed to think about it. I paid for a week of time in the yard for him to think about it, assuming that that meant he would actually take a look at the boat to estimate work. This is radically different than boat yards with a staff of mechanics and boatswains with a service writer. It turned in to chasing them around the yard and them being annoyed to see me and giving more rules about interrupting them (even to ask them to please come by when they have time and talk to me was unacceptable). There's a horrible conflict of interest here. You pay per day while the boat is in the yard, so if you pay to wait for them to do work, they have no incentive to do work. Your boat is essentially held hostage. My leak was minor and I could have and should have launched again but pride told me that I should fix my own boat.Anji, after I arrived, told me that the yard is open "from 9 till 5... or 6". Several times before 6, I was locked in and had to jump the gate to get out. Then eventually it was changed to 5pm, strictly enforced. Previously on weekends, a pretty large group of people would work late wrapping up until 7 or 8, and that's when I got most of the work done (I often have day-job tasks on Sat and Sun).I spent $1,800 for a bit over two months of yard time, probably close to as much at the hardware store buying tools like gear pullers for the prop that I hadn't planned to buy, gas for a long commute from the city and rental cars. It would have been cheaper to have paid a boat yard with an actual service dept to do the work.Ski boats and sporty motorboats got a different treatment, and one other person in the yard confirmed that: Anji loves the fancy new small motorboats. Often there's no one around the front of the yard where the sheds are that they fix those on, so it seems like they bring in independent people as they need. Then sometimes there's a few people there working on boats. This is during the week. Likewise it was a month before anyone picked up trash and there was a new lady doing that (cans were long overflowing and flies were swarming). Then I didn't see her for weeks then they had her standing a boat. It really seems like there are two co-owners or an owner and one employee, and everyone else is a temp. Looking back, the handful of positive reviews about the new ownership were all from people with expensive new small ski boats. The front yard/shed and back yard are completely different universes. When they blocked me, they tried to block under the centerboard until I stopped them, then I was left listing to port and pointing down an incline to the point where plastic bottles would fall over. The grand finale was the launch. Since I came in, a very large wooden boat was placed partially blocking me. The whole yard is a jigsaw puzzle and almost no boat can be launched again after you're there for a month because what you thought was a path for the TravelLeft in front of you fills with boats. In the process of trying to maneuver the TravelLift to get me out, my Harken MKIII (high end but previous generation) roller furler was smashed and rigging hit hard enough to loosen. They had no interest in providing insurance info and kept trying to tell me that the rigging is "very tough" and offered to unbend the furler with a clamp and forgive the last few days ($140) worth of yard time, demonstrating a profound ignorance of sailboats whose rigging is akin to a violin. I've seen enough dinghies dismasted after shrouds hit the hoist to believe everything is fine. That's going to cost a *lot*. But part of me is happy just to be out of there.tl;dr both myself and my boat were treated as completely expendable from the start and I paid more than a real boat yard would charge for them to wreck my boat.

The most dishonest person I've ever done business with (Jason).I was referred to this place by a long time friend. We paid to have the boat pulled, He charged $1660 for a 47ft boat which included a months rent and power wash. He told us:1. Existing pontoons were junk, and they had hundreds of rust holes2. Motor mounts completely rusted away and the motor box needed to be cutoff and repaired.3. He told us that the diverter box was not repairable.4. He said that the motor was worthless4. He said that it was not possible to fix or replace the outdrive and we should spend thousands on outboards.5. finally he told us that the sewage tank was ruined and needed replacement. Then he just happened to have 2 pontoons that he wanted to sell to us for $8,000 which didn't include installation.Turns out none of this was true. There were 12 places that needed to be repaired on the pontoons, Motor mounts were in excellent condition, got the outdrive resolved for $1000. Motor was running and just needed an Exhaust manifold gasket. Sewage tank was fiberglass and had a small patchable hole, and the diverter box was easily repaired. Also, while I was selling the boat, he gave this bad information to potential buyers which kept me from selling it. Then he had piles of gravel behind the boat, so we couldn't get it out on the 31st like we asked. He tried to charge us an extra $1,100 to put the boat back in the water, but we fortunately kept a copy of our contract. But even then he charged us for an extra 5 days anyway to get the boat out. This was unbelievable, but because we had some tools on the ground he charged us for the extra time, even though we asked to have it out before the end of the month.Jason (the guy that runs the place) basically held our boat hostage to get as much money as he could squeeze out of us.
