huge roach in bath tub
Nosey neighbor
Metallica Concert- Wet AC contest
Water damage
Another Roach talked to Andre who simply said they are water bugs and are common in the area. Do yourself and family a favor don't live here
Nosey neighbor alert
The whole complex is filled with roaches the staff do not care, one of the staff is a Garibaldi , no pride in family business or name.

I was a guest of my aunt, we were enjoying the pool. The manager feels it's the guests responsibility to put the life ring away when it is staffs, it was supposed to be tied up but when we arrived it was already free floating. The manager notices we are in the pool and my sister was using it to float, she rudely requests with no politeness in terms of please or thank you. She ordered my sister to "put it back" and my sister tossed it to the side where it was originally. We explained that's where it originally was. Manager didn't like that and for the next 30 minutes she was hovering over my aunt from behind in the window of the office. We had 3 pairs of eyes watching her peek at my aunts phone and walk past 6 times. My aunt is disabled and had the key to get. She requested the staff to have security check us for a pass, when her name and apartment number could have been requested and checked on a computer that is literally right next door. We will be seeking further action but this old red headed woman is completely unprofessional and corporate will hear about such behavior. Goodluck when yall wanna swim you're gonna have eyes on you the whole time checking for you to make a single mistake.

I am completely disappointed with the application process and lack of communication from management. I have spent the last week working with the staff in assisting my aunt in finding an apartment. We advised early on that she was on a fixed income and gave details about her financials which are very strong. As such, rent would be paid in advance for the entire year. We were encouraged (By the manager) to apply only to be denied due to reasons unknown. Each person I spoke with gave a different answer none of which makes sense. Horrible experience. I encourage everyone considering these apartments to take their business elsewhere.

Do not move here. They will charge you SF prices for a poorly insulated, black mold infested, crime ridden apartment that should really be referred to as a tenement. They will take your entire deposit even though their equipment/ lack of maintenance causes damage to the walls/ carpet. My husband and I found black mold in the walls upon moving out from the roof leaking and the A/C leaking (there was actually moss growing) don't even get us started on the cockroaches, excuse me "water beetles" as the maintenance will call them. He lived here for 4 years and they took his entire deposit plus more to cover damage to the carpet which was caused by their poor weather insulation & janky Air Conditioning units. Also the A/C will put off more noise than a Metallica concert in a metal airplane hangar... seriously, don't move here! Oh yeah, our downstairs neighbors found a roach crawling across their infants face while she was sleeping. I too found a roach nearly the size of my husbands big toe in our bathtub (wish I would have been calm enough to take a picture) FREAKED OUT and washed it down the drain. This had occurred with other tenants as well. At night when I took my dog out for walks, there would be dozens of roaches lining the sidewalks. Our other neighbors were racially profiled when their car was towed and on another occasion, broken into, and also experienced a roach fall on their head while they were on the toilet. My husbands car was also broken into. In addition some of the "security guards" they employ are suspicious characters themselves. The laundry situation is another adventure. Prepare to spend over $50 per month on laundry machines that do not only NOT wash your clothes, but also are broken half the time and eat your money.

I do not recommend living here. I had a bad experience. When I initially moved in my apartment was infested with roaches and it took almost 2 months for them to move me to a different apartment. The rent is outrageous(do not get fooled by the price they give you) and I was paying close to $1,300 a month for a small 1 bedroom apt (even though many of my neighbors were paying a lot less) and I confronted management and they replied my lease was different from theirs. There's no assigned parking lots so goodluck finding any. Also when moving out, management did not do a walk through of the apartment with me and I lost most of my down payment and got charged with a lot of misc charges such as "white single fold towels". The office workers are kind and helpful but Marianne, the property manager, is extremely rude and unprofessional.

Such a nasty place to live. The management is horrible and will literally stalk you. They will also charge you for literally a piece of dust on the floor. These guys are total con artists I'm not kidding. Stay far away from this place or expect an additional 2,000-3,000 in hidden fees upon moving out. BEWARE.

Would not stay here again even if rent was free. HORRIBLE management, and beware, they will charge you for every cleaning fee they can when you move out. Say goodbye to deposit as soon as you hand it over, and then more. Also beware that they often make mistakes on legal paperwork. We were initially told our place was going to be $1200, and then our bill came in at $1400. I had to speak with one of the property managers Maryann, because there were not honoring the original price they quoted us, even though that is what was signed off on (very shady business practices). The place was also filled with bugs, so be prepared for that. My dog was also ELECTROCUTED by live wire that was left sitting out uncovered. If you have small kids, be careful! We also got a huge dent in our windshield during construction where they had to bust open the concrete. We had just bought our new car that month. Furnace also did not work throughout the entire winter, and when we tried to turn it on, there was just gas leaking. Time and time again, there were so many issues with management. Let this be a warning for anyone who considers. We've ran into prior residents who had the SAME ISSUES. It's not a coincidence when it's happening to everyone around you. If you ever have to speak with Andre or Maryann, good luck to you! These apartments are quite possibly the worst apartment I've stayed at. Search elsewhere if you are able to. I took my time to write this review, because everyone deserves to know what they are truly signing up for. Good luck in your search.

I would highly deter anyone from renting here unless you would like to deal with constant issues! I made a yelp account specifically to share how horribly this place is being managed, because it has had an effect on my rental experience to this day.My experience here began April 2021 and (thankfully) ended April 2022.To start off, when signing the lease, I was given a certain figure for deposit and pro rated rent. Days after submitting the payment, I received notification that due to their staff error I was charged less than what I was supposed to, therefore I was expected to pay the remainder. After back and forth, they (hesitantly) agreed they were in the wrong -- of course, we had just signed the lease!Second, on the day I received keys to the apartment, the carpet was completely soaked. I had to leave windows open and wait three days before moving in, in order to avoid mold. This was reported on the walk through and Marina Village West did nothing to fix the inconvenience. If anything, they claimed I left the carpets soiled when I departed. If you live here, you'll quickly learn the tactics they use to keep your deposit and collect more fees.Third, while living here, I unfortunately experienced a pretty huge car accident, meaning I had to drive a rental for about 3 months. Unrelated to Marina Village West, but unfortunately with the constant changes in rental cars and dealing with insurance, one of our parking passes was lost. I immediately contacted management for next steps and secured a replacement. To this day, Marina Village West claims I didn't submit the original parking pass when I left -- which I thought was resolved and again, here came the extra fees they love to collect.Lastly, their staff and management are the most unprofessional people you will encounter. I was told over the phone by Alex, that I could leave the keys and the apartment unlocked upon move out. Days later, I received a call from management asking if I had moved out. Weeks later came the fees. I have never had an issue with a previous landlord other than here and will forever regret coming across this place.
