Mama Bear Face Painting and Creations

Unfortunately I have to give her a bad rating. Last weekend my god daughter had a birthday party & Mama Bear Face Painting & Creations was scheduled to come and face paint for the children. However, there were some issues that I as well as the other parents wasn't okay with. 1) Her disposition was horrible, she seemed as if she didn't want to be there, her face said it all without her having to say it. 2) She told my god daughter that she had line rules, "if you cut anyone in line, you have to go to the end of the line" and "if you step on my feet I'm going to step on your feet back". Now first and foremost these are children. Our job as parents is to ensure these kids are having a good time. Telling a child you're going to step on their feet if they step on yours is ridiculous. Our kids aren't just stepping on adults feet purposely or anybody feet for that matter so to vocally tell a child, that did not once step on your foot "if you step on my feet I'll step on yours" is disgusting. How old are you?! & if you had an issue with any child, notifying a parent would be appropriate. Not to mention these are well behaved children that understand and knows how to be respectful of adults. 3) We also wasn't aware that she didn't paint kids faces (1 year olds) ... she said that she doesn't do their faces because they move around too much. But how would you know if this child doesn't move at all if you never even tried or gave this child a fair chance? Okay whatever .... have the written down so you're clear prior to people booking. 4) A family member told her that she could help herself to some food and once she ate, her attitude sure did change! 5) I understand that people have bad days and people have rules. But one things for sure, whether you are having a bad day, show up to work and put your game face on and do what you were paid to do! Secondly, if you have rules and regulations and age limits please have a written document of your do's and dont's so parents aren't upset when you deny a child of a face painting because of their young age. Four parents complained about her disposition and attitude. I would not recommend her services and if you do book with her, hopefully she's better to you than she was to our party.

She came out for my 3 year old's birthday and within 30 minutes I already had complaints about her being rude to my niece and daughter (birthday girl). My daughter who just turned 3 wasn't too sure about getting her face painted so she got a glitter tattoo instead and my niece who is 11 did it with her so that she wouldn't be afraid . After a little time went by they went back in line to get their face painted and was told "no you can only get your face painted or glitter tattoo but not both!" I wasn't there yet, so i had to hear it from other family members.. I had a talk with her and asked her to please be patient while working with kids. Her response was that she wanted to make sure everyone got a turn. Ok, well that should have been explained properly to my niece and daughter but instead she was rude about it. I talked to my 11 years old niece and let her know she can go back to get her face paint just to get her to be sent to the back of the line for the second time. this made it the second time i had to talk to her.. After about 20 minutes I had another complaint from someone else saying she was rude to kids who were in line.. My thing is if you are working with kids, regardless of what is going on with your personal life or day you need to put on a friendly face and be respectful and if you can't seem to get yourself to at least be courteous PLEASE don't work with children. I didn't want to ruin the party or disappoint the kids who were still in line waiting to get their face painted so I tried to keep things calm however, I won't be using her again and I definitely do not recommend her if you are looking for someone who is kid friendly who smile and are good with kids..

We had a corporate event of about 100 people at Spark Social in Mission Bay. Angie was early, amazing with the kids (of all ages) and really easy to work with! She came with all her own equipment, set up, and got to work- the kids really loved it and she did great work. Would definitely work with her again.

Very talented nice and funny person ..will be hiring her again got along with everyone, kids adults and we couldn't stop laughing. She has an amazing pick of colors and glitter and she was able to get everyone in the party!!!!!!

Angie is the best with all of the children. They all just love her upbeat personality and her kindness. She is a fantastic artist and I would highly recommend her to everyone I know.
