This review is specifically for their Haunted Forest during the Halloween season. A group of us went to Apple Hill for the first time and this is one of the farms we HAD to go to. We had no idea what to expect, but had a great time. There are NO LIVE scare actors. This was great news for us as my sister-in-law and I don't like normal haunted houses. There were a lot of creepy, but fascinating animatronics. The haunted forest walk took us about 30 minutes, but we did stop to take pictures and speak with the volunteers on the trail. They said they have been expanding in the last 3 years they have been open and are hoping to eventually be able to host the walk at night! We will definitely be back next year to see the new changes. P.S. when I was looking for apple hill reviews, I was looking specifically for dog friendly farms. THIS FARM IS DOG FRIENDLY.

ETA: glad it took you so long to come up with that witty response, must've been rough. No worries- I enjoy the banter with a sincere business owner. Congratulations on the engagement Riddle me this: your own website says you close at 6 today but your gates are closed at 4:55. When I called to ask if the business was open I was told that the hours changed and he had no idea what website I got the information from. Answer: Yours

On a weekend at my brother in laws cabin we needed something for the little kids to do so we came to the haunted forest. Maybe this would had been better at night but seemed pretty expensive to me but the little kids had fun. The animatronics were good and I appreciated no one jumping out trying to scare you. Well organized just seemed expensive but we had a good time.

Venturing throughout Apple Hill, thankfully a friend and I were on a quest to find where exactly the little signs were leading to, in terms of a haunted forest. My friend would drive down one way and then back again, and we finally found the trail to drive through. It felt like something out of a spooky movie but we were determined to see what the signs were about! This being our second year, I went ahead and searched for the event which made it so much more easier. Wow, all of the thought and creativity that goes into the haunted forest is definitely something to see, thinking of the large skeletons that are in peoples lawns add animation and other effects for miles and miles and boom you have the haunted forest. Only $10 per person, I only wish they kept it open a little later (like when the sun is going down) to make it a little more spooky but I'm happy this has become an annual apple hill festivity!

We stayed at this little Miner's Cabin for two nights during Thanksgiving week. What a beautiful stay in a lovely little cabin. Gordon, the owner, supported a local charity, Hands 4 Hope, by donating a stay at his home to the silent auction. I was the lucky winner. So right off the bat, thank you to the owner for his generosity. We arrived in the evening to very crisp, cold air and were transported to the picture perfect fall postcard. The cabin was warm and cozy. The whole space is renovated and well kept. All the little touches have been thought of. There is a large deck with a fire pit and lights then brighten up a whole meadow. I got a great laugh out of the signs pointing you toward the local brewery, Rainbow Orchards. (which deserves its own review.) The space is small. Best for two people planning a romantic stay. Then again, a mom with her two kids fit right in and we had a blast. We loved our stay and I can't wait to visit the area again!

My bf found this camping spot through Hip Camp. We went with a group of 13 and stayed at 2 different campsites that were somewhat next to each other. We liked the fact that the campsites were far enough apart from each other that you could be loud and not disturb each other. Quiet hour starts at 9pm, but people were still loud and nobody seemed to mind. The dirt was red and dusty and got on everything, but we just went with it lol. There was a fire pit w/ a grill to use, a bucket for water and a picnic table. There were 2 portapotties that were a decent walk from our campsites (13 & 20) across the open field. There was also a sink & mirror outside of them. Keep in mind there was a campsite right behind the toilets. Also, you are to take all trash with you as there is no dumpster on the property. Basically, this was the perfect place to be surrounded by nature and stargaze because you could really see every star possible to the naked eye (my opinion, not factual lol). Me and my bf saw a shooting star together and it was truly magical!

We found this great campground right in the middle of Apple Hill through HipCamp. Campsites are well-spaced and there are well-maintained toilets, sinks, and water spigots which were a huge plus since our old camper is a bit "rustic" when it comes to modern conveniences. We didn't actually talk to anybody from the campground but saw a lady with a clipboard walking around noting who was staying where so I'd assume she was an employee... or maybe a well-organized serial killer! No worries as we had everything we needed from them via email and there is also a small kiosk with tons of info and even some games that you can borrow during your stay. Our first night was quiet as there weren't many other campers there and we left before the second night to beat a historic storm heading our way so while our visit was short, we enjoyed our stay and would definitely visit again!

We just stayed at Madrone tree hill and it was absolutely amazing. The campsite is clean, private, and extremely close to town. Each campsite comes with its own fire pit and a clean grill cover for it. The bathrooms were very clean and there is running water and soap to wash your hands with. Gordon was extremely helpful before the trip and during our stay. We plan on returning soon with a larger group and reserving multiple sites next to each other. They also have service, so if you need to have a phone on you in case of emergency or anything, they have excellent reception. We would highly recommend this place to anyone!
