Machado Dairy Park

It's a nice park for kids to play. There is a covered area for parties or sitting down. You can catch Pokémon at this park.

Machado park is one of many parks in Elk Grove. If you live near the park, it's a good park to go to. However, I wouldn't travel far to come here.They have 2 large grass areas enough to play football or soccer. There are adult fitness machines but don't expect to get buff from them. There are swings for babies and young kids with equal play area structures for both. The rock climbing is a good addition. There's several picnic tables with built-in chairs and 2 BBQ pits. The grass, plants, and trees are well maintained.

This is a decent kids park in a residential area in south Elk Grove. There is a kids play area which is suitable for 2 years old and up. There is a covered pavilion for parties and reasonably clean restrooms. For sports there is a small basketball court and a soccer fields. It's a smaller sizes park, but there are so many parks in Elk Grove, the choice is yours!

The grassy area, the bathrooms and the picnic area are nice and very user friendly. Be very careful of the play structure if you have not used it before. The play structure is poorly designed to say the least. There is an area where you take the steps to go up to get to the slides. That small area has a very low supporting beam and just too many kids have hit their heads. Every new kid hits his/her head coming out crying aloud, without a doubt every day. The so-called adult exercise machines are useless. Supposedly they are of Chinese philosophy! Whatever that means. The city definitely got hosed on this structure.

We're new to the Elk Grove area. This was the first park I took my daughter to and she LOVED it! Second time we came there was a group of teenage kids that showed up and started playing on the structure, cursing and yelling, needless to say we didn't stay long. On our last visit here there was trash all over the place from what looked to be like a birthday party and puke all over the play structure. 2 strikes...we may give it one more shot. I'm a little worried to go back.
