Lydia was very humble, with great respect for the Art of Braiding and hair. Accommodating her clients with her knowledgeable experience of her Culture history with Fashion clothing. She did cornrolls for my man & he brags that she has pleasantly light soft touch on his head, leaving remarkable fashion as the end result. I definitely recommend her for all ages .

Did a bad job, a really bad job, we went back and didn't want her to touch my sisters hair again. She refused to give her back the money and undo the braids. She called the cops on us because we demanded a refund. Don't let this woman touch your hair she is farbagr and doesn't know what she's doing. She will scam people in the spectrum.

Messy braids had to take them down very upset If I would have left springs in for a month they would have matted in my hair would have had to be cut out did not braid my hair over to ends

I had a fantastic time and not to mention the best part... my hair! Lydia is awesome and fun to be around. The part I loved was when I walked in and she said .. Welcome Home! Such a good spirit. YES I will be back.Faye

A broke amateur witha wreck of A salon can put wigs on bald Filipino hippos but If you ask her to do a sew in weave for a Mexican girl lol friggin forget it. Awful

There are NO decent hair places for blacks in Stockton. This shop is dirty and dusty in a bad area. Don't know how she's been in business so long. Braiding is not good and takes forever.

I wasn't going to leave a review but I am very unhappy after spending over $400 on my hair. She was supposed to send me photos of Malaysian hair but never did, when I got there I waited an hour and a half after my appointment time. She only presented me with 1 option for the type of hair. She got an attitude after I told her I didn't like the parted portion and I felt like she was using too much hair because I wanted something that wouldn't look like a wig. She gave me 3 options for closures (which I had to pay extra for when she had previously told me that her bundles came with closures), all different shades than the weave she had already sewn in my hair, when I pointed this out she completely ignored me . One of the closures she suggested was a top closure! How can you use a top close on a side part weave! The second one I chose, she said I wouldn't like it. So I was stuck with a closure that was a different shade and sewn too far back. I have chunky, loose braids that are bulky under the weave and a weave that looks like a bad wig. I'm giving and extra star to be generous.

My ten year-old got her hair done one day BEFORE our family vacation (3/30/2024). The owner (Lydia), who braided my daughters hair, told her to make sure I knew there were NO refunds. It took nine hours for her to finish my daughters hair, and she said she didn't know how much to charge. Finally, she decided to charge $200. In FOUR days (4/3/2024), my daughters hair looks ridiculous! The quality is TRASH! I should have read the reviews first, I would not recommend this shop to anyone of any age.

I just had moved to Stockton and wasn't sure where to go to get a weave placed. I had originally reached out to another stylist but there was no availability. I then Yelped local braiders and found this Lydia's salon. Long story short, I'm glad the other stylist was booked because this was the path I was supposed to take. Lydia helped pick out my extensions + did the weave within 2 hours. She is such a warm, generous person and I was comfortable right away. She blended my natural + extensions so well and I have already gotten so many compliments on how everything looks. Definitely coming back for maintenance!
