Be sure to CYA in regards to paperwork. The management in VERY shady; the community manager (Brooke R) in particular. The long and short of it for those interested in the extent of shenanigans at this place: We notified Brooke of our intent to break the lease early which opened us up to a potential lease break free of 1.5x rent. No big deal, this is typical stuff. However, a few weeks later we asked if there was a possibility to revoke our early termination because the fee was a little daunting. Brooke informed us that she had re-rented the apartment to another applicant so we would have to go to another unit but the lease break fee would still apply. Her e-mail stated:"HI thereUnfortunately we have already re-rented the apartment and the applicant is approved.If you would like to continue living here you may go to another unit but the lease break fee and 30 day will still apply." What this dunce didn't realize is that we knew this violates California Civil Code 1951.2 which states that if the landlord is able to re-rent to a new tenant within the original lease period then the lessee (us) only pays the amount of rent that the landlord loses due to an early termination which in our case was 1 month's rent prorated for 2 weeks. Far less than the 1.5x rent that she was trying to stick us with. After submitting this information in writing, Brooke's response was exactly as follows: "Due to renting your apartment very quickly we have discussed not charging you a lease break fee. You apartment is on notice for 6/30/21 and you will only be liable for rent until that said date. We will be scheduling a pre move out inspection prior to you moving out."So after being caught in a big fat lie she had the cojones to claim she was letting us off with a reduced fee out of the goodness of her heart. What a peach. Avoid this place. Avoid this Community Manager. I can't believe she's employed.

**UPDATED REVIEW**As someone who has lived in the complex for more than four years, I have a unique point of view that potential tenants might find helpful. I wanted to give a more recent review because I saw that some negative reviews had recently been posted. I don't agree with the bad reviews of the complex, and I think the management office has done a great job of making sure the tenants enjoy living here. This is one reason why I haven't moved out, even though I could have for commuting reasons.Some of the bad reviews said that the management doesn't do enough to make sure tenants follow the rules. In my opinion, the office can only do so much when it comes to the legal side of a lease, and tenants will find ways to break the rules. Because of this, the office is unfairly blamed for things it can't change. Many laws protect the rights of tenants, and it can be hard for management to enforce them all without the potential for baseless lawsuits.As a family with two different ethnicities, I haven't had any unfair treatment, and I don't think that the management office is racist.We love the amenities and the overall feel of Luxe. When I've had to ask the maintenance team to do things like change a light bulb, fix a problem with my washing machine, or make small repairs to outlet covers, they've done so quickly and thoroughly (which my puppy damaged). I can say that any problems I've had with maintenance have been fixed quickly and well. It's important to remember that this level of service isn't always available in other communities or rental properties, where maintenance problems can go unfixed for a long time.Overall, I think the Luxe Apartment complex is a great place to live for people who can follow the city's laws and regulations. The management office has done a great job of making the complex a fun place to live and keeping its amenities in good shape.I wasn't paid for this review, and I wasn't asked to write an updated one. I just don't like it when tenants leave bad reviews that don't make sense or are outright lies because they were asked to leave or kicked out.

I wrote a 5 stair review moving in, but this has got to be the WORST year in a half. You live with so many rules, the girls at the office were so rude and judgmental. Every single person goes through different things in life, with covid, having a baby, and my son being in icu for 3 months you would think they wouldn't be so judgmental.My boyfriend smokes weed (legal). He never ever once smoked in the home ever. We were asked to leave for "smoking in the house". Never happened they just wanted us gone. On top of that the racism was horrible. Your phone will NOT work in your apartment and will have to go outside. There are roaches that crawl in your hone and outside. They call them the "good roaches". Don't waste your time..

I gave this place 1star to post a review but this place is surprisingly a horrible place to live at management sucks they're extremely rude, unprofessional and racist. There's so many rules to live here that are constantly violated and only certain tenants get away with it. There's always ppl drinking alcohol in the pool area ppl smoking in between apartments there's dog poop everywhere. Police always getting called, honestly feels like we're living in the projects and to top it off the amount we pay to live here is ridiculous based on the cons there is to living here and in "ripon" you would think it be a good place to live at, I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone it was the worst place we have lived at so far can't wait for our contract to be up and get the hell out of here.

I love living here at the Luxe. The apartments are so spacious and updated beautifully, and I couldnt have asked for better management! Both of the ladies who work in the office have always been super accommodating, and respectful, they really do treat you like family here! 10/10 recommend!

Customer service is not a priority and very poor communication. New, clean, nice apartments but the staff really should get training in customer service and how to manage tenants in a more professional manner. I am now on day 19 still waiting for washer repair.
