Luu's Chicken Bowl

ever since we moved to stockton i've always wanted to try this place . passed by it all the time but never actually made my way in . went in the other week finally , & i must admit the chicken bowl was so good ! i love a good char on my chicken & i love the fact they used chicken thighs instead of breast . makes the meat so much juicier & flavorful . it's a small spot on the inside with a few tables to sit . don't expect glitz & glamour but it's clean enough to sit down & eat & also quiet . i will def be back to try their beef teriyaki bowl as well !

The chicken was the best part, which was good since I was going for chicken teriyaki:-) Got the chicken and pork combo. Pork was super dry like it had been sitting for a very long time. Not bad flavor, but dry. Vegetables were very al-dente and unseasoned. I love cabbage, but it was rubbery and bland. Sauce was really light flavor. Nothing to write home about but needs a kick. Service was straight to the point. Not particularly friendly, but not mean. Ambience was "old school diner" feel. Which I was cool with. Felt cozy but I did a little throw back :-) Overall I'd suggest just staying with the chicken yaki bowl and definitely add a little sauce and spices if you can.

Food- rice is OK here. Veggies are al dente and the meat has a grill taste. Food is always cooked consistently hot here is great!Service - Is neither bad very to the point.Ambiance - Feeling is like a place you want to have a quick meal seems to always be clean.

We have driven by Lulu's chicken bowl for 10 years and yesterday we decided to give it a try. I gotta tell you I was pleasantly surprised! They do not offer a lot of different menu items but what they do offer, they do well. I had a bowl with nice fluffy rice topped with steamed cabbage, carrots, broccoli and grilled chicken. Teriyaki sauce came on the side. I'll be honest the sauce was kind of bland and not my favorite. But I have really good teriyaki sauce at home that lit the dish. It was amazing. The next week we took our friends there and they too enjoyed Lulu's chicken bowl. Don't drive by it! Give it a try.

Went through the drive thru and it was quick and simple. Always good with their added spice and sauce. Chicken wasn't dry nor was the rice. Thought I'd share an updated menu because the most recent one was almost a decade ago.

Chicken is always good always taste the same for as long as I can remember so I keep coming back. Love when it's a little more burnt than normal :-)

I haven't had Luu's Chciken Bowl since I was a kid, we grew up eating it from their restaurant in the Eastside of Stockton. Recently at work we were talking about getting lunch and someone brought up Luu's, saying they haven't had it in forever either. So we went to the one on Pacific Ave, went through the drive through. Service was quick, prices are actually still pretty reasonable given how long they've been around and everywhere else keeps raising prices. I got the #1 which is the regular chicken bowl, I think it was around $8.95. Comes with the chciken, veggies and rice. We even got some chicken egg rolls. The bowl was good, still worth trying. The egg rolls were ok, I didn't care too much for them but OK. Definitely recommend for a quick lunch for a great price.

I've been here several times, the food has always been excellent with a great price. Customer service is great also. The teriyaki sauce is good. I will be coming back.Chicken Plate it what I purchased

I went to LuLu for the first time in two years and I was completely let down and totally disappointed in them. They used to be my favorite restraint I would eat there 5 or 6 times a week. Not have the changed the menu but they down graded the quality they went from real orange chicken to chicken nuggets with an almost orange flavored dipping sauce. In fact it isn't even sauce it is a dipping juice.

Food - 4 stars - love their teriyaki chicken bowl. It's the only reason I would eat here. They have a location in Manteca and that's where I've been going to since the 90's. I'll stop at the Stockton location if I'm in town and craving teriyaki chicken. Quality and taste seems to be the same at both locations. I hardly ever order anything else besides the #1.Customer service - 3 stars - the cashiers working seem like they'd rather be somewhere else. One was on her phone and the other one couldn't even crack a smile or say hello / welcome in. Anyways, don't come here expecting 5 star customer service or even 4 stars. It's not part of their appeal. If you come, come for the food.Atmosphere - mediocre dining area. Nothing special. About 4-6 booths.Would recommend!
