Luu’s Chicken Bowl

I have been wanting to try this location for a while now and I excited to get a chance. I ordered sweet and sour pork and rice with an egg roll and the yakitori chicken skewers. I was so excited to try it that I ate the egg roll in my car in the parking lot. It was really good! It was very big and had great flavor. There was also sauce to dip it in. It it was honestly so good I didn't even try the sauce. With an amuse bouche like that I closed up the bag and drove home excitedly anticipating how delicious the rest of the food was going to be. When I arrived home, I was very disappointed. The pork was literally what you get in the freezer aisle at the grocery store and the rice was excessively moist. The whole meal was bland and pretty gross to be honest. The takiyaki was so dry and even the mushroom were shriveled and dehydrated. Although I would not come here again for a meal, I would definitely consider stopping in for another egg roll or two if I wanted a nice snack so if you are thinking of stopping here, do yourself a favor and add an egg roll to your order.

Affordable, tasty bowls. I ordered a #1 and it was perfect! Satisfied my pregnancy craving. Chicken was moist, veggies were steamed perfectly and the sauce was delicious! I ordered extra sides of the sauce and drenched the entire bowl in it. 10/10

Passed this many a time. Always curious. Finally stopped in. Assessed the interior and gave it a go. Nice greeting. Many choices. Went with chicken teriyaki bowl. It's great that veggies are part of the bowl. It was fresh. It was good. I did add hot sauce. I really liked nutritional info and feel less badly about the "rice@. Maybe brown next time. Everything was fresh. It was hot. It was plentiful. Maybe some toasted sesame could garnish it. They do have chopstick , self serve teriyaki pump to take additional sauce. I'll come back and think good value for the money.

The food was pretty good! We had teriyaki and orange chicken. Fair prices too. The service was very quick and friendly. It is a nice large, clean seating area. I was surprised that we were the only people there.

So sad the pork is so dry inedible, even Panda Express is way better for a fast food joint. What a waste of money !

Sweet God, this is terrible. I'm sorry, but I have never ever had tasteless teriyaki chicken until Luu's. Dude, why is the teriyaki sauce the color of ginger ale? Is this Teriyaki Lite with 0 taste? I've seriously had frozen teriyaki bowls that've tasted better than this. On the bright side, their Sierra Mist is on point. I cannot recommend this joint.

Amazing chicken teriyaki bowls!!! The flavor is so good. Definitely worth the trip to Stockton or Lodi to try these!!! Everything is so fresh!?

I recently read on Facebook (from my local peeps) that this place has great teriyaki chicken. From the looks of this place on the outside, it looks a bit run down. Instead of going across town to Panda, I thought I'd give it a try. I decided on the #1 which is a Chicken Teriyaki Bowl with vegatables and rice. The price was good, under $9! I asked for brown rice so they added a $.50 charge. Upon opening up my bowl in the plastic container, it looked so fresh! The chicken was tender and not dry and there was big broccoli pieces with a few chunks of carrot. The bowl was still steaming from the heat. Yes!Needless to say, it tasted really good and I was happy I came in. I did ask for additional teriyaki sauce at the window before I paid but did not see a charge added for it. The egg roll was crispy and stuffed too. Big! Also tasty! I will be back! Check this place out!

The only reason I don't give them a 5 star is that ambiance if you are dining in is a bit rough. It is clean, but you can tell the emphasis is on take out.From a friendliness and quality of food perspective I think they are one of the best that Lodi has to offer. I have only gone with the chicken bowls, egg rolls and tempura shrimp. They grill the chicken fresh and you can see them doing it. The veggies are fresh as well. They don't smother the bowls in sauce, just a light drizzle but are more than willing to give you more if you want it.I could see that some of their other dishes may not be up to expectations as in a traditional Chinese restaurant (orange chicken, etc..) as that is a side line for them. But if you stick to their core, and their name (Chicken Bowl) it is top notch.

It's hot and fresh every time you order, staff is friendly and you never even have to check your order before you drive off as they are always 100 percent on top of it. Thank You
