Lucky You Orchards - Ripon

Glad we found out about this place through a blogger. This is a really big orchard with many varieties and absolutely not crowded like the farms in Brentwood!They have picnic spots, trailers, photo props, clean porta potty and many apples! We got fuji, gala, green. It's so widespread, we were all just there picking in our own rows and taking pictures.

Beautiful orchard will plenty of free parking. Very friendly staff. Kids love the tractor ride. Went on a Saturday and it wasn't too crowded like Brentwood u-picks. Much closer from the bay area than going to Apple Hill.

While it's well off the beaten path, this orchard is very well organized. Several staff available. They have at least 6 different varieties for picking. Make sure to wear footwear you don't mind dirtying. Will return!

Very friendly customer service and tons of delicious apples to choose from. They had Pink Lady, Fuji, Golden Delicious, Granny Smith, and Arkansas Black. Parking was a breeze. They provide you with a basket and a plastic bag liner. (You return the basket, keep the plastic bag of your picked apples.) there is also a porta potty and portable sink with soap and paper towels. Some pumpkins and plums were also on sale. No apple cider or apple cider donuts, however. They accept Apple Pay and credit cards.

We invited our son, daughter-in-law, niece, and her hubby to come to the valley for a "kid-free" weekend. Looking for something fun to do in the area, I came across Lucky You Orchards! Making my reservation was simple; they were great at communicating with me leading up to our fun day! Very friendly and helpful staff. We had an entire row of trees to pick from for an hour! Once we had picked lots of the yummy Pink Lady apples, they weighed them, and we paid an awesome price for them!We even got to enjoy a fun tractor ride to end our time there!I will definitely be bringing our granddaughter here next time!Great experience here close to home!!!

Our family had a great time apple picking at Lucky You Orchard today! The experience was fun and felt very Covid-safe. The staff was professional, organized, responsible, and friendly. My husband, 2 year old, 77 year old Dad, and I had a lovely time picking Pink Lady apples. We liked the fact we could make an appointment online and were assigned our own row of apple trees for picking (this was a very thoughtful touch during this time of Covid). We also appreciated the fact they had wagons for our use (those apple picking buckets get heavy fast!)In addition to apple picking itself, the tractor ride (with bubbles and pinwheels) was a big hit with my toddler. (We appreciated the fact the staff immediately sanitized the tractor after we disembarked.)The owner, Steve, and his staff, Amber and Gunner, were all very helpful, welcoming, and friendly.Andrea, who I had exchanged messages with on Facebook before our visit, was also responsive and helpful.I was even impressed with how clean the porta potty was!Kudos to Lucky You for creating a well-organized, fun, Covid-safe apple picking experience! We look forward to returning next year!

A beautiful outing to the organic apple orchard this morning. Customer service was friendly. We had a choice of 4 apple varieties to pick, 2 varieties were abundant on the trees in the rows that were open for picking. Tractor ride was a hit with the kids. I wish it wasn't so far from Sacramento but a great alternative to Apple Hill. Only thing missing was a food truck/stand with Apple donuts/cider to make our fall outing complete!

My partner and I went to Lucky You Orchards for the first time yesterday and had a great visit. We especially loved the energy that Samantha and Cody had - both so friendly and warm. We got a mix of Gala, Granny Smith, Fuji, and the Italian Modi apples (which were my favorite), and will likely come back for the pumpkin patch! It was great that there wasn't a need for reservations and that there's a clean porter potty, since we came from an hour away. The only thing that would make this experience better would be some cider or donuts. :)Also we stopped by Caswell Memorial State Park after to go swimming and would definitely recommend it for anyone trying to make a day trip out of it.

Went here for Apple Picking. Great clean area and lots of fun. If going, check the weather and bring water/sunscreen. Great activity/area for the family!
