Our daughter recommended it and so we came here in a Saturday morning. Intimate, cozy and very cute place. Service is excellent. They will sit you at a table and give you menu but you order at the counter. Wife tried the freshy fresh breakfast sandwich and I had the south x south west with bacon instead of linguica. Had coffe and a pink chai tea and a side of Cajun potatoes.Everything was delicious, specially the potatoes which were crispy and tender and flavorful. This will be part of our breakfast spots for sure. They have cookies and other sweets plus lots of people having mimosas.

Food was tasty with that kinda new Calif vibe on the menu.Colorful atmosphere & very clean.Tight little tables so you better love thy neighbor. Fresh bread for their sandwiches is a nice feature. Delicious dessert choices also.Cool outdoor seating but also tight like the inside.Staff is friendly & knowledgeable about their menu & the prices are ok. Basic turkey sandwich $15 but chips & drink is extra so lunch will be $25 min w/tip.

What a hidden gem located druggy outside of downtown Modesto. Really stumbled on this place and so glad I did. Very quaint little place that serves breakfast and lunch options and I wound consider from an elevated flavor profile. Inside is very hip and cool while spic and span clean. They also have a small patio area as well but a little too cold on our visit. It's a walk up and order type of spot which is fine with me but service has to also be there and at this place it 100% does! The folks working here are amazing and over the top friendly. For lunch my sandwich while simple was awesome! Consisted of turkey, bacon, chipotle mayo and an avocado spread with some heat from jalapeños served on this amazing roll. This was a 5 out of 5! What a great find and would for sure come back and would recommend anyone else do the same!

I wanted a light breakfast and happened to be in Modesto. I yelped and this little quaint spot came up. I had the fancy toast and my wife had the Breakfast of Champions. We had a mocha and a mimosa. Everything was delicious. The place is super tiny which makes it more desirable to be in there. If you catch a table you can order at the counter and they will bring you your food. Staff are all very nice. It felt so homey and made me feel so welcomed. Highly recommended!!!

Lucille's has become one of our rotating breakfast, brunch, lunch spots and need to give an update on my original review. The customer service is unmatched! Everyone is always so kind and very welcoming. Even in the busiest of times. The decor is so cute! Love all vases with real flowers on each table. The vintage plates used to serve are so adorable. The food.... Ugh...... SO GOOD! Their in-house made biscuits are what we dream of and one of the main reasons we have GDL as our rotating breakfast spots. Even if you don't want to order anything else, get a biscuit with the butter and jam. Literally drool worthy. Their coffee menu is also really good. They serve both hot and iced coffee's. I learned that their large drink comes with 4 shots of espresso, so if you're into that, come get their large latte's. The small drinks come with 2 shots of espresso. (There is also matcha, chai and other tea's for the non-coffee drinkers.)There is limited indoor and outdoor seating available. It does get pretty packed and at times, there will be a wait for tables. However, I also see a lot of online/phone orders for pick up. Overall, come and give this place a try!

Such a fun surprise! We were driving past Modesto on a weekend and the family was hungry so we decided to try something new. Yelp said great things about Lucille and no surprise...Yelp was right! The staff was super friendly. It was crowded but they got us seated inside and then gave us the opportunity to move outside as it was a beautiful day. The Champion Breakfast platter was amazing! It even came with a side of fruit that was so fresh and delicious. Sorry no photos but I couldn't help myself it was sooo good. English muffins are great but the sourdough bread is too good to pass up. My vegetarian wife was in love with their baked goods and the Early Bird sandwich. They also have a blueberry waffle dish that is unique and worth trying. They have three hot sauces two from a company called yellow bird. The yellow bird sauces are very unique and complement the food well. If you're in Modesto, swing by and thank me later!
