Los Compadres Market

Really glad I found Los Compadres Market. I recently transitioned to Galt for work and it's nice to have a 1 stop shop around. Think of a convenience story, with good food (try the Tacos), currency exchange, and more! Thank you,Anthonyxibarrax

Food was delicious, easy to set up a family get together and have great food ready to serve without a big mess in your kitchen. The cooks and store personal were very friendly and attentive to what I needed for my small lunch of 30 people. Thanks you

I live in Ione so there isn't any other Mexican grocery store around. I need my queso cotija , Chile's, and other Mexican goodies to create my traditional receipts. I asked Yelp and there I found Los Compadres. I decided to give a chance, and I was very happy I did. I found more that what I bargain for. Tamales, carnitas, quesadillas de flor de calabaza, aguas frescas and even a leather belt ! Omg this is my new place to go when I need Mexican food ingredients...... and don't forget to try the tacos !

Nice little town market to grab either of the following: Meat from the butcher, clothing, sandals, kitchen tools, beverages, snacks... and a full hot meal. We tried the chicken and Asada tacos with green sauce (mild) and red sauce (spicy)and sampled all the Aguas Frescas (Tamarind, Jamaica and Horchata) all were good. I'd say the tamarind is numero uno. The tacos are $1.99 each, burritos are $5.99- great prices for great food.

WOW O WOW! Compadres market where have you been all my life?!?!I tried this place after getting my hair done at a salon down the road. My stylist was telling me how delicious their food was so I just had to try it. WHY DID NO ONE TELL ME ABOUT THIS PLACE BEFORE??? I ordered a carnitas burrito for my hubby and carne asada burrito for myself. The burritos are so big and so full! My hubby is picky about his carnitas so when he told me he really liked his burrito I knew that was a serious compliment. I tried his, the carnitas were good, nice a tender. Some places use very fatty cuts which I hate cause it makes it difficult to eat without a knife and fork. Now for my AMAZINGLY DELICIOUS carne asada burrito. I dont think I've ever had such flavorful and tender carne asada. The flavor was out of this world good! The burritos were a nice balance of all ingredients and had ample meat. No skimping at this place! The price is reasonable, the service was good and very little wait time. Next time I will have to check out what the rest of the store has to offer and I will be sure to update my review.

Excellent fresh food and great customer service. They make fresh carnitas and chicharrones every day. Try their carnitas burrito!

3.50 for tacos that had no flavor. I got cabessa and carnita tacos, portions were good but for the price was lacking flavor and texture.

When you want real food- come to Compadres Market! Their meat department is top grade!! And the marinade for fajitas is beyond compare!!

This people don't understand Spanish or English. If you order something in Spanish they give you the wrong order and if you order something in English they give the wrong order and then they tried to blame the customer for not understanding what they want. Worst service ever

My go to place for carnitas, rice, beans and other party needs. They're food is delicious and reasonably priced. The staff is always super friendly and every time I've ordered catering/large orders they quality is fabulous!
