We have two kids that we put through preschool here over a span of 6 years. This business is family owned and operated. The sisters (all three) and staff are pretty awesome and really go out of their way to show you that they care. Our daughter is really advanced for her age and they made sure that they constantly challenged her to keep her engaged. In the 1st grade she was reading at a 5th grade level and LoMo played a big part in that. Although we had a rough patch with our son they worked with us to find a solution. We collaborated on what works and what doesn't work to correct his behavior which is rare from facilities like this. Most of them time at other facilities it plays out like this: your kid is a problem, they did X, you need to punish them to correct it, if it continues we will kick you out. Finding a solution wasn't quick or easy but together we corrected the issue while giving each other constructive feedback along the way. That is honestly why they get 5 stars. I am no pushover and can be hard to work with because I hold people accountable while being blunt. We did use another daycare in Lodi before my son was eligible to attend LoMo and the difference was obvious. LoMo is a school, other places in Lodi for this age group are daycare. They also go out of their way to put on special events for holidays like Halloween and Thanksgiving whole holding lunches and breakfasts with parents. Overall they treat you like family and really care for your kids as if they were their own. What more could you ask for? Thank you for all that you've done! We will miss you!

My daughter went here. Love it. Love the staff especially the director. Always clean & with plenty of teachers around. 100% recommend. I will be enrolling my next daughter when the time comes. More costly than other programs, but absolutely worth it. Quality over quantity.

My youngest child will be graduating from Lodi Montessori this month. My oldest graduated from the school in 2014. My spouse stays at home, so we were not looking for child care; we were looking for our children to have the opportunity to gain the confidence and experiences that only come from being without a parent in a challenging environment. I do not attribute all of my children's success to this school, but it has been wonderfully supportive in what we were working to accomplish. When my oldest started kindergarten in public school, we quickly saw that she was much farther advanced than her classmates. Sure, this can be seen as a negative by some, but I think it allowed her to get a truly solid foundation which has played out in first grade as well. My son turned five this month and although he prefers playing super heroes or race cars, he can and proudly does sound out words and read on his own and is ready for his next adventure. Honestly, I would love to keep him in the school for kindergarten, as I have seen the graduating classes read their own eloquently written speeches in front of the parents each year, but we try to keep the support we give to our kids equal and we couldn't afford it with our first. We thoroughly vetted several schools before we chose Lodi Montessori and are very happy with our choice. Is everything perfect, no. Surprise, some kids are a little rough and occasionally there is a policy or decision I don't agree with, but what truly matters has never once been an issue. Each and every employee at the school is dedicated and shows amazing love, care and passion for all of the children. They go out of their way to give the children new opportunities to learn and have fun with mobile dairies, Chinese new year celebrations with dragon parades, parade of lights floats, gardens and so much more. I love that my children have made friends with kids and adults from so many different cultures. The teachers are fantastic, but the true stars that drive it all, are the three women who drive it all, Jolie, Jeni and Vy. So blessed to have these ladies and their staff help build such a strong foundations for our children's education. It's sad that not every child gets to have this opportunity. Thank you, Lodi Montessori!

This is actually my first Yelp review, but, I have been so impressed by this preschool program that I wanted to share our family's experience. My daughter just wrapped up her first year at Lodi Montessori and she has had the most amazing time. The entire staff is wonderful and this program is well worth the (very reasonable) cost! I was nervous about returning to work and putting my daughter, who was 3 at the time, in a day-care setting for the first time. Directors Vy, Jolie, and Jenni made the whole transition easy for my daughter (and myself!). Every teacher there is nurturing and kind, engaging with each child to ensure that she reaches her potential. As a teacher myself, I have found the academic growth my child has made to be as rewarding as the social strides this past year with LMP has brought. Even more important, however, is the fact that this educational model has made learning fun for my daughter and has encouraged her imagination and natural inquiry. After much research into different programs in this area, it is this combination of educational benefit and much-needed childcare that brought us to LMP, and now I can't imagine bringing my children anywhere else.I am looking forward to next year and can't wait for my two-year-old to start the toddler program!

It's voted Best in Lodi because Lodi doesn't have many other options. This is the only Montessori in Lodi. I would pay 10k a year for my child to be taught by Ms. Setsuko which is the only reason why this school is fabulous to the highest degree. She is by far one of the best preschool teachers I have ever been exposed to! And if you want your child to be extremely prepared for school Ms. Setsuko aims the preschoolers to be prepared for 1st grade and the response from the kids is just absolutely amazing. The school is very clean, very organized and I will say in my need to give my child a normal life during my loss of my father, being a single mom and putting my mom in an Alzheimer's facility they were very patient with me. On another note, IMO this place is geared to end at 2:30. I think the only reason why they even have a daycare portion from 2:30-5:30 is because it would take business away if they didn't. If you work until 5pm and need time to get your child this place probably isn't for you. I arrive very close to 5:30 every day and when your the last child or even second to last child the relationship changes with the people who do the daycare portion. Not on a verbal note, but its the body movements and the eyes that really say a lot. Most other schools actually give a second snack and this place DOES NOT! When my daughter goes full time, all day 9-5 she comes home starving every single day because they eat lunch at 12:00 and give nothing else for the kids who stay until 5:30. I have asked if at 2:30 when the school session ends and daycare starts if they could give her a snack thats left in her lunch....that lasted about a day. I have done a little research and actually this school is the earliest closing school in the area. So if you are willing and able to drop your preschooler off at 8:30, pick them up at 2:30 when school is finished and drop them off at an actual daycare then this is by far the best school for you!

My son graduated from Lodi Montessori and I am so happy with the time he spent there. He learned a lot and he was always well taken care of. He enjoyed going to school everyday and he would be sad on weekends and breaks when school was closed. That was the most important thing to me- that he loved school. His teacher was Miss Alicia and she went above and beyond for him and all the students. She teaches everything they need to know to be prepared for the next grade and makes learning fun with the holidays, art, science experiments and more. I always got messages and pictures of my son which I liked a lot. The entire staff is wonderful too and works hard to run an amazing school that is very clean and safe. I highly recommend Lodi Montessori if you want the best for your child.

My son has been a student at Lodi Montessori for the past 3 years and wish we can take all the teachers with us to his new elementary school. Every teacher there has been so caring to my son even if he's not in their class. Every time I go pick my son up he is reluctant to leave because he's having so much fun. We always get so many compliments on how knowledgeable, patient, and kind my son is and I always contribute it to LM.If you are in the Lodi area and have kids I definitely recommend them attending Lodi Montessori. You can see how much they love and care for your kids and teach them to be educated, thoughtful, and independent little human beings.

My wife and I have been Lodi Montessori parents for two years, with two children at the school now. We wish it continued beyond kindergarten! Our kids love their teachers and we have observed that the teachers care very much for the kids. Our children have developed language skills far beyond what I would have expected for children their age, and our oldest is reading and doing math in kindergarten that I wouldn't expect to see until second or third grade. The education the kids receive at "LoMo" is unparalleled. In our experience there has been a waitlist, so parents contemplating sending their kids to LoMo should contact them and get a spot as soon as possible. Three years ago we went in February to enroll our oldest for the next school year (begins early August) and she was 40th on the waiting list. She did not get in that year, but did get in the following year. We added her younger brother well before he was school age; LoMo offers a preference to siblings of enrolled students and had no trouble securing a spot for him in their "early preschool" program. The wait was well worth it. In sending our kids to LoMo, we believe we've given them the best possible start, and we wouldn't change a thing (except to sign up earlier!).

One of the best choices we've made was sending our son to Lodi Montessori. He started in the Toddler class a little over two years ago, and is currently in one of the Preschool classes. He is engaged, he is learning, and most importantly to me, he is happy and excited to go to school each day. I attribute this to the wonderful staff at the school. Everyone, from administrators to teachers, to classroom aides, has always gone out of their way to show that they genuinely care for each child. Concerns are always addressed promptly, communication is always open and honest, and they are always looking to improve by actively seeking out feedback from parents at the school. There is currently a waiting list, which to me just speaks to the number of families who want to have their kids there. We can't wait until our second child is old enough to enroll.
