Lodi Lake is very beautiful and super family and dog friendly! The lake is beautiful and scenic to walk around and they also have activities to enjoy like kayaking , a playground and trail. Picnic tables are available and there is a lovely dock to enjoy a view of the lake . After the renovation, it is especially clean and green. Highly recommend a visit here .

A great place to walk, kayak, picnic, sit and do nothing or all of the above. $4 to park for locals, $5 for everyone else.

My boyfriend at the time (now husband!) knows I like to go kayaking, and so went out of his way to find a place not ridiculously far from the Central Valley to kayak and took me to Lodi Lake. It is a man-made lake and this community park area, so it is not very big. There are also some big warehouses nearby so it kind of feels like you're kayaking in an industrial area. I wish we could have kayaked further out of the lake, but the workers there gave a slight warning about it. It is very nice that there is the option to rent a kayak at this recreational place. My 3 stars has more to do with the area itself, as I personallly did not find it very scenic. I still had a good date that day though !

***** Lodi Lake closed January 18 and will not re-open until June 21, 2024*****Overall the park is a nice place to spend an hour or so. I was born and raised in Lodi and have been coming here for over 40 years. The lake was established in the 1930's and is probably better described as a giant pond with some thinly branching waterways. It's a nice green space with picnic tables and play areas for children, but the best part is probably the nature trail. Unfortunately for many, dogs are not allowed in that area which is a shame, so although you can walk your pup around the Lake area on a leash, know that you will not be able to enjoy the walking paths with them. Many people come here to swim, and I have kayaked/pedal boated here many times but I would never get into this water. It is always full of algae and duck poop. My suggestion - look but don't touch. There is also a fee to drive into the park, but if you can find street parking, it is just a few steps over the hill to get into the park. It can get quite busy in the summer time and is always especially packed for the 4th of July fireworks but most weekdays it is a peaceful place to enjoy lunch or a quick stroll. The majority of the park is currently closed for improvement projects which should be completed this summer and I am looking forward to seeing the result.

Lovely place for a sunset stroll- lots of families here. Easy parking. Lots of geese, some ducks, many people fishing & saw a good sized catch!Ample Picnic tables & benches to chill & some folks swimming or in kayaks. I don't think the water looked clean enough for me to want to swim - but it was good to just be near. Nice flowers planted out front & some educational signs about the water supply and region. One of the restrooms was cordoned off & they provided ports potties but it was quite smelly.

It's okay, I hope they did something like add soap to the bathrooms and toiletries that will actually spin; with that 2 mill dollars they put into renovations.

A perfect place to enjoy a warm afternoon with family members of all ages. My family and I brought a picnic, small speaker and sunscreen and played in the water all afternoon. There's kayaking, bbq grills and a kiddie pool, best of all the weather in Lodi is often much warmer than the bay fog, its perfect if you're wanting a proper sunny summer afternoon, sans the fog.

Very pretty place. We like the trail. Lots of squirrels and deer. The loop is about 1.5 miles. There are clean bathrooms near the entrance. Plenty of parking. Some homeless people so keep your vehicles locked. $5 entry fee.

The city has made a very nice recreational park around Lodi Lake, which is more of a large pond than the lake. However, it has walking paths all around it and there is a nature trail as well. However, be warned that although dogs are allowed to walk around the park lake, they are not allowed on the nature trail even on leash. This is a disappointment to me because I was told they were allowed on leash, and I wanted to walk through a more natural environment. Still, my dog is enjoying the walk, as am I.
