What a lovely B&B Lockeport Grill & Fountain is! We adored the ambiance (kitschy with both new and old decor) and the beautiful counter where you can get breakfast all day, sandwiches, ice cream, sodas, and coffee. The owner (wish I'd caught her name) was so warm and welcoming. She told us about the renovations at the B&B and let us peruse the handful of rooms upstairs. Affordable and charming rooms that bring you back to an era where you could leave your doors unlocked.

My good friend came here last week and was talking to Martha, the owner extrordenier. We did a tour today with 10 people, $20 per person, well worth it. She gave us a tour of her B&B upstairs, history of her business and a walking tour on the street(s) of Locke. We walked to the state park behind the street and up to the river area. Lots of history here and the surrounding area.We all enjoyed ice cream after the tour. Call to schedule because Locke is small and hours are sporadic. We parked on the street but there is a public parking area in the back.

Stellar service and a good time. Be sure to check out the amazing water colors while you enjoy a banana split. Pet the dog. Obey the dog.

Locke, CA has been on my bucket list for almost 2 years. I finally made time to come visit today and after viewing the historic town, I stumbled upon Lockeport Grill & Fountain which is a B&B on top and diner on the bottom. The owner Martha was the sweetest lady and came out to greet my hubby and I. She gave us a little history on the town and offered us a tour upstairs to view her B&B rooms! We accepted happily and was so happy to be able to view the interior of these 1920's buildings. We saw low ceilings, original showers and baths and got to hang out on the cool balconies of these historic homes. Oh, the best part was the meat locker that was original as this little diner used to be a meat & vegetable grocery store. This is the hottest stretch of summer right now at 105 degrees so we were in the mood for something COLD! We ended up ordering their Lunch Combo which includes chips, soda, ice cream cone and a grilled sandwich all for $12.75. The food was very satisfying. Martha paints these beautiful postcards and ended up getting 2 of those to remember this lovely town by. Everything about this place from the food to the bed & breakfast upstairs is so homey. It makes you feel right at home and cozy. Thank you Martha for a wonderful day!

I'm giving this a five star review because it looks like a really cool place. Unfortunately, like the sign on the front door said it may be open, it might be open, it might not be open, and it almost might not be open! For us, they were closed in the middle of the day on a Wednesday. You might have better luck on the weekends. It is a located on a sleepy little street but with very authentic and old rickety buildings. We drove into the parking area pulling a 26 foot travel trailer and there were no signs warning not to pull down into the street to the parking area for RVs. It is a bit tricky and tight so beware of that. The city is located in a very beautiful rural area and it was worth the 7 mile drive off the 5 freeway to come visit even if we weren't able to taste any of the wonderful menu items at this quirky little restaurant. It has quite a history!

This treasure of a diner is run by a humorous, lovely lady. We went in on a Saturday after a drive through the Delta. I found it on Yelp, but didn't expect to enjoy walking through the town!We ordered two tuna melts, two cheese melts, a grilled PB&J, sarsaparilla float, and ice cream. All were delicious. Had that prepared by a mother's love feel to it. My son enjoyed observing the decor and playing with the toys. Also, the place is super clean. Sometimes when small business owners go for the vintage look, I get sorta skeptical, because I think it will have that musty smell. It did not! It looks, feels, and smells clean. We were also treated to the owner's music. She plays the trumpet--who knew a Chuck Mangione-like talent was in Sacramento? She also really knows her history of the area. We got to look around upstairs because the restaurant also doubles as a B&B. I recommend checking it out!

What a sweet find on a Sunday drive! Worth heading to a a destination, or as a stop off as you travel I-5. Say hi to Martha and "Woofy" her sweet pup that welcomes you out on the sidewalk. We had our pup Winslow with us and we appreciate proprietors that are dog friendly. Breakfast of 2 eggs, bacon and toast is served all day. Hubby had that while I had Martha's yummy tuna melt. Both were cooked perfectly and hit the spot! Coffee was freshly made in a French press, and she had vanilla creamer. Upstairs is a wonderful bed and breakfast that Martha let us tour. There is no wifi, but if you want to get away or just a perfect place to rest and relax, this is it. There are several different rooms and one honeymoon suite with a bathroom and kitchen. Check out on Air B & B, or I'm going to start a Yelp page for the B & B. Come visit this town and the nice people that have a couple cute antique shops to browse.

Too expensive! Decor is vintage and bar is old soda fountain style. We ordered sandwiches and were disappointed. Each sandwich was $10 a bit expensive for two pieces of bread with cheese and a slice of Turkey plus some pickles on the side. They tasted great, like the sandwich you Mom would make for your lunch at school. Wish it came with chips or a drink, but it was a charge for chips $2.50 a tiny Costco bag and Drink made lunch for one $$$.
