Lathrop Generations Center

We have taken our kids age ranging from 3 - 12 to different events held through the city of lathrop here and it's great! The staff that puts on the classes are so friendly and helpful and really make sure to give the kids a special time. The table games for the older kids are well kept up and the space is a good size for the events they have. The library is right next to it as well in the same building so that's a plus as well. The park is fun and keeps the kids occupied and it's a great space for parties. I haven't taken the kids to skate park yet so I can't speak on that but it always sounds like people are having a good time.

Generations Center had their grand opening about a year ago on June 28th and 29th, 2014. (I have been photographing there since June 29, 2014.) Although the name would seem to imply that it is for all ages, it is mostly a teen center.Indoors, there is a branch library, and a room for teens that includes ping pong and pool, plus computers.Outdoors, there is a very good skate park that was designed with local skater input. It includes a deep main bowl, along with some ledges to grind, a wall to ride, and more street items toward the front. Toward the back, there is a shallow bowl and a (somewhat slippery) snake run.There is also a basketball court and a small parkour area and a soundstage.The staff are friendly and there is no admission necessary. Trash cans are available but they are not always utilized. There are restrooms available inside and outside.The crowd is generally very good, but if you have smaller children, you'll want to watch them carefully.

They have a great skate park that I took my son to in the morning and had a blast (we went in the morning so there would be fewer kids as he is only 3) he had a lot of fun. Another great thing is their Fourth of July celebration with food, live music, free games for kids and an amazing firework show! It's a great place to go.

it is a nice park... but when school days starts the high school students stay here (class hours) and they dont care if there are small kids who are playing! they'll chitchatting inside the slides , vaping and kissing... too bold! smh! just saying!

The kids loved this skate park! Spacious park and one of the nicest skate parks I've been to. Came here around 7 pm and there were only two kids on scoters that didn't bother the kids skating around. If your kid loves to skate, I would definitely recommend bringing your kids here!
