Jake and Gus went above and beyond to make our first trip out to Tulloch Lake wonderful. The employees are constantly driving thru the grounds, emptying trash, helping guest with problems, keeping out the trouble makers. The upper campground is more of a party. Loud music, sites on top of each other. But this might be your vibe! Bring a shade pop up! Not all sites have trees. I believe it's difficult to keep it completely quiet at night because so many people break the rules. They tell everyone about quiet times but there's always a few groups that don't care about how their actions affect others and just don't care. I personally saw the staff consistently trying to keep things cool and quiet in a professional way. If some people post negative things about being asked to quiet down - they are the problem. If you wanna party all night - do dispersed camping so you bother no one. Otherwise follow the rules or get told to leave. These employees should not have to defend trying to enforce rules that we as a collective group need to abide by so we all can enjoy ourselves. On to the Cabanas which were perfect. Right on the lake. Shade structure over picnic table. Park your RV or set up your tent. Trees around. People here tend to be more quiet and respectful of neighbors. You can get a little signal now and then (AT&T USER).You can always find someone to help here and they all behave like they love their job and are happy to help. That goes a long way with me. We will be back.

First time her, I discovered this place when I rented a boat last year for my birthday. My goal was to return and I did. Unfortunately the boat rental was no loger there. Under new managemen, I got to me the owner I believe his name is Jake. I hope I got that right! We camped on site 93 & 94 which is located in the middle. Place is beautiful and super clean. Plenty of showers and bathrooms. They are strict about noise lever down after 10pm. All staff there were super nice and treat you with respect. We had a minor misunderstanding where our folks were over charged for pet and parking fee but after checking in with the right people we were refunded. I also appreciate Jake coming to our campsite to clarify and apologize for the mistake. Honestly and communication are super important. I would love to return the store prices are pricey but what can you expect when it the only store there that doesn't require you to drive 40 minutes away. Pets are allowed only on leash so be prepared to have a leash on at all time. Dog are not allowed on the little beach are but you can walk a little further back near the Red cabins and chill there all day they even have picnic tables that you can use back there. Best of luck.Thank you for the experience.

Place has a beautiful view if your camping near the water. Sites are very close together. If you neighbors are having altercations you will witness this. The sites are unlevel so prepare for that. You are in the middle of a canyon so bring supplies as it is quiet a jaunt to town. We will not be coming back here again.

It is a neat place and the store is open late on Saturday boat rentals are perfect prices. The only two complaints that I have are 1) need more shade trees. 2) all carts at night should have their lights on for safety. I seen several times this guy driving without lights on that works for your organization I don't appreciate the lack of safety.

Don't make the mistake of skipping this review if you're considering a stay here...For over 25 years, my family has frequented this lake, but this recent visit was a huge disappointment. The once beloved spot has deteriorated into a complete dump. The facilities are in disrepair, with power outlets requiring a special attachment that you must return, or face a $25 charge. Trying to leave early? Good luck figuring out where to return the outlet. We were fortunate that a staff member arrived for work just as we were leaving, as otherwise we would have been forced to pay the fee, desperate to quickly leave the premises at that point. When my husband originally asked the store about the missing outlets, we were told they were no longer available and advised him to drive our air mattress to the laundromat to inflate it, then bring it back to our campsite. Thankfully, he overheard another guest getting an adapter, saving us from a night of discomfort. The restrooms are eerily similar to a prison cell, with no interior door handles making it a challenge to open the heavy steel doors. Wrestling with a weak lock only adds to the difficulty. There was a moment where we felt trapped inside, unable to get a good grip on the small lock handle to pull the door open. To use the musty/moldy shower, you must pay a dollar for 3 minutes of use. Additionally, you must purchase special coins in advance from the store to operate the shower. The store used to be a gem, offering a restaurant and well-stocked essentials like nail clippers and anchors. Now, it's a sad, barren space with overpriced items and no restaurant, just subpar snacks. Expect to pay a premium for a basic ice cream that likely came from a bulk store. Our campsite was plagued by fire ants and a cockroach infestation. We dealt with crawling critters while cooking and couldn't even enjoy the outdoors after dark due to the overwhelming number of roaches. We had to toss out belongings and visit a laundromat to ensure we didn't bring any unwanted guests home. Our trip, planned far in advance, was cut short due to the roach problem.Though Jake, the owner, was kind, he refused to provide a full refund, claiming the insect issue was typical for the area. He did he would refund us for one day though and lied and never did. However, in all my years of visiting, I had never encountered a roach problem. The lake cabanas now have roach infestations, a stark departure from the past. While ants, bees, and flies were common, a swarm of roaches is unacceptable.Sadly, I doubt we will return to this place. It's disheartening to let go of cherished childhood memories tarnished by invasive cockroaches.

This was our first time RV camping and to Lake Tulloch, we didn't know what to expect but had a wonderful first experience. The staff, Jake, Amalia, Steve, Josh, Susie and Gus were great and helped us navigate everything. The campground was clean, the lake was beautiful, we kayaked and floated and it was quiet after 10:00. We look forward to going back and making more wonderful memories.

Updated response: our group was warned 2 times. 4 times as you stated is incorrect. We were told around 10:30 about music which wasn't being played off a speaker just a phone as like many people around us but we gave no issues and shut it off. The dude you drives his cart dangerously with no lights on came up from behind us at 1145pm and we all ended up going into our tents @12 am because you guys ruined our night, and said it was our final warning or we were getting kicked out for TALKING no music was playing at all. Change your rules if that's the case that people can't even talk or laugh amongst themselves make it VERY clear that you want complete silence and everyone a sleep at 10pm if people talking is such a huge issue they can get kicked out for it. Don't try to come on here and respond to our truthful reviews because your feelings got hurt that we actually spoke up about this shitty site and management. We are the last family to ever sit on a phone and bash someone's business for no reason we don't care for conflict but you guys truly deserved the reviews you got . If your going to to respond to people respond with facts don't try to make our reviews look like lies so you can look good, trust and believe we're not the only people who have spoke up ours are just the ones that made yall upset. We've camped at the same camp site for 15+ years with not one complaint ever about us and yet we got threatened to be kicked out for talking and laughing that didn't even exceed our campsite like other people. Take a class on customer service cause you're not professional at all. We clearly hit a nerve for ya.

This place is a joke. Our family goes camping every summer and the place we usually go to was closed for the season so we decided to try this place. The first thing was the pictures of the campsites were very misleading. Online it showed nice trees and shade and when we got there, there were barely any trees and no shade at all. We were right in the sun. The 2nd thing was that one of the workers kept coming to our campsite and saying we need to turn our music down and keep our voices down since it was around quiet zone time which is 10pm to 7am which was fine and understandable since there are other campsites near us but the people camping right next to us had their music playing and were talking and no worker came and told them to be quiet and they were up playing their music until 3am. The worker came to our campsite twice and told us that this was our last warning and if we don't stop, we're going to be kicked out so we felt like we were being harassed and only our family was being targeted. We will never be coming to camp at this place again.

this was my first time camping at this place and I will never come back. there was no shade and very hot. the deers were very friendly. while we were at the lake trying to cool down and came back out try tip and grilled chicken from our bbq were gone and some of our food. no one mentioned about the deers. if you go please put your food in metal boxes or in your car. the staff were very rude. they favored certain campsite and allowed them to play their music late then the restricted time and we were having conversations with our family and was told we were too loud and threaten us they will kick us out. why would people want to come here with such bad customer services. it makes you wonder why they get bad reviews. I do not recommend this place unless they retrain their employees. if people don't come to the campsite they don't have a summer job so try to be nice it doesn't hurt. Also on top of that you had to pay to get coins to take a shower which should be included with the reservations fee or next time wash up in the lake
