La Petite Academy of Elk Grove - 5 StarsFormer employee, colleague, mentor, and pillar to my community. I started in the school-age program working with Mr. Kyle. Mr. Kyle has accrued experience working in child care for years. He brings a fierce spirit, intellectual mindset, and charismatic attitude to young children in the space. We collaborated in the school-age classroom working off our strong skillsets and helping each other grow in other areas. The children are the heart of our work. They learn through play and build social skills with their peers. In addition, children create activities where Mr. Kyle and I implement classroom wide. Later in program, I transitioned over to early preschool. I worked in tandem with Ms. Tay. Her knowledge of early childhood, charismatic attitude, and bright mind is unparalleled. At this age group, children's brain are similar to a sponge where they are learning, attaining knowledge through play, social interaction and developing essential skills which will lay the foundation for their future success. Children are on different wavelengths. It's important to be mindful that children learn at different rates. Be patient, resourceful, and practical. We as teachers understand this and strive to serve children on all wavelengths regardless of time. I am thankful to have worked with Ms. Tay. Ms. Tay always remember you are a pillar to our community and your hard work goes above and beyond. Ashley Sanchez, current director is an intelligent, savvy, and professional leader in the school. She maintains focus, attention to detail, and is a true pillar to our community. She has cultivated strong relationships with teachers and all staff who work for the program school-wide. Furthermore, she has cultured respected relationships with families in our community. The program continues to enroll children of all ages and she works with families to bring excellent services. I respect Ms. Sanchez for her sheer efforts and unwavering spirit. Thank you for all the work you do for families, and teachers. Halley Wegner is the Assistant Director. Her resumé speaks for itself. She has been working in child care for 10+ years. She is knowledgeable, approachable, and respected by her fellow colleagues. Her passion for children is beautiful and illustrated school-wide. She was my mentor during my time at La Petite. She pushed me to strive for excellence, excel as a teacher, and stay true for my love of Education. She works hard in office, and puts in work behind the scenes away at home. I love her spirit, kind heart, and professional attitude. Her skill set is unmatched. She typically is in charge of tours in school. Please be courteous when scheduling a tour. If you plan on canceling a tour, please do so 24 hours in advance. This allows the program to reach out to other families who are interested in enrolling their child or children, and provides flexibility to do other tasks school-wide. Thank you!Ms. Megan is an outstanding chef at La Petite. She brings years of experience working as a chef in the Education sector. Her bubbly personality, keen awareness, passion to do good by children, and tenacious spirit is unmatched. As a former employee, we as teachers recognize how infectious her spirit is and how it "impacts" the school. She deserves whole credit, and recognition for the hard work she puts forth day in and day out. She's one of the backbones of the school and her work is highly recognized throughout the region. As a former bus driver, we do provide bus services to Irene B. West. and Barbara Comstock elementary schools. We provide drop offs in the morning, afternoon, and after school hours. If you have questions, please reach out to Ms. Ashley Sanchez or Halley Wegner. Families please utilize Sprout About. This is a free app you can download to your mobile device. These are real time updates. Plus, you'll also have secure access to live streaming video to see your child in action, anytime! In addition teachers upload meal service information, potty breaks, and activities whole day with photos of your respected child or children. Overall, La Petite here in Elk Grove is a wonderful program to enroll your scholar or scholars. Reach out to Ashley Sanchez or Halley Wegner to schedule a tour. For more information please check online and call ahead. Thank you.The program, children, and staff will hold a special place in my heart for life. 2025 & beyond.

This daycare center TRAUMATIZED my 3 year old son. He has nightmares just thinking about how awful some of the teachers treated him. Imagine being 3 years old and being told daily that he WAS BAD and IN trouble. He was being sent home almost daily. The assistant director, Halley, was just as bad as she always stood behind her staff instead of finding the reason behind why my son was always in trouble everyday. He is a normal toddler and was labeled by these uneducated staff as "ADHD" when he in fact was NOT ADHD. On top of that, there is ABSOLUTELY no education prep here. They are constantly understaffed and overwhelmed eventually affecting the wellbeing of the children. PLEASE DO NOT TAKE YOUR CHILD HERE. My son would cry everyday when I dropped him off, and was sent home almost daily. My son was only here for 4 months and then we took him out. BEST decision we have ever made.

My wife scheduled an appointment to do a tour of the place and was told they had openings. We show up to our appointment to get told they have no openings. The appointment was scheduled (by them) four days from the call day. When we went in, the lady in the front asked a couple questions and did not look like she liked our response, one question was if it was full time or part time, then she went to talk to another person in back office, mind you, she has not said anything about there not being any openings. The lady comes back and said they have no openings. They really couldn't call us within those four days and told us that? Why did it take them a while to tell us? Could have started with telling us they had no openings? What a waste of time. I definitely do not recommend this place to anyone.

My first child attended here 2.5 years ago. I was all too excited to bring my infant to their education powerhouse. I never bothered looking at any other schools after I had a tour and met the Director, Assistant Director and several of the teachers. They have an excellent educational program, a lot of health and safety measures, a very nutritious meal program, cameras in common areas for safe monitoring and the best, most warm and loving staff I've encountered. If I could tolerate strangers children as well I'd go work there! I couldn't be happier, feel safer and be more confident in everything they offer. Seriously, they are a blessing during this pandemic and all the days moving forward.

My child has been with La Petite for over a few months now and we cannot be happier with choosing them! My child's teachers have been friendly and welcoming and have made us feel so comfortable. (Shout out to Ms. Tay and Ms. Shayla) The admin team was our first impression of La Petite and Ms. Ashley and Ms. Halley could not have been more inviting and professional. We were happy to learn about the live feed cameras and sproutabout to connect with staff. Any parents wanting their child to be safe and get a great early childhood experience I would recommend going here!

I have a child there and she was placed in the preschool class. There doesn't seem to be any educational curriculum as stated on the web site. The teacher hardly reads to them, they always seem to be playing independently, which is fine, but kids need structure and should be learning at this stage. Why are they not teaching them site words, spelling 3 letter words. Writing ABCs. They are not being prepared for pre-k. The one thing I do appreciate is that there are cameras and parents can look in on their child. Tho it would be good if we can hear the conversations in class. Sometimes it seems the teacher/aids are impatient.

I would highly recommend this specific center. Previously my children came from a daycare that was great educationally but nothing else. My oldest son ended up getting physically abused at his previous daycare so he was emotionally damaged. My husband and I was afraid to give any other daycare a try but we heard La Petite was a good and safe place. So we finally gave it a try and we have been satisfied with their service! Not only are they good educationally from infants to school grade but they're also emotionally supportive! The staff here has been so patience with my 4 year old son when he has a rough time detaching from us at drop off and they even come up woth unique ideas on how to make drop offs easier. For example, Miss Genia also communicated with us to ensure us that hes fine and she always keot an open mind about how we can help our son emotionally. Another example is miss Kassy , Miss Kassey start bringing little action figures toys in her pocket so when my son would get dropped off she'll show him what's in her pocket which eventually gave my son something to look forward to.They also have a staff name miss Alexis who's so loving towards the children and truly puts the children first. For example, my son really wanted to make his father a birthday card and miss Alexis not only help my son but she put so much thought and effort into it to where it looked extremely professional! The card made my son so proud to present this card to his dad. Now my second son is in the Twos classroom and he has an amazing teacher name miss Atria! She has a full classroom of two year Olds and still manages to give each child attention with patience. She had another teacher Miss Moni who helps keep everything running smoothly. I love these teachers for my two year old because at this age my son speaks well but still doesn't know how to properly put every incident in a full sentence. For example, one day my two year old came home to me and told me he was hurting and he kept saying his teachers name associated with his pain. Of course my first thought was to pul him out of school and here goes another daycare harming my child. But, I responded reasonably and took my concern to the director and to the teacher miss Atria. The director miss Brittany said she'll have her assistant follow up with this complaint and miss Atria made time to talk to me and follow up with me after asking different teacher who was on duty that day if my son was harm in anyway. Miss Atria handled the situation well and although we couldn't conclude what my son meant miss Atira makes it her duty to keep us inform through the sites app on how my son is doing. I was grateful she asked other staff about my son, that made me feel like she went above and beyond to make sure my son was in great care.I'm also, grateful for Miss Latisha a grade school teacher, Mr Jose and Mr Kale. The whole Infant teachers and staff. Everyone does an amazing job with care and communication. They all give us such a peace of mind!!Lastly, I really like the director miss Brittany. As stated before it's hard to trust new daycare and teachers but miss Brittany facility not only provide cameras for me to check on my children but she makes a great effort to email me in a timely manner and always goes above and beyond to answer all of my questions. She also trains her staff in any area where they need improvement. I appreciate that.
