La Michoacana Plus - Stockton

While visiting the city of Stockton I was craving something sweet. So I used the handy dandy Yelp app to find where to go. La Michoacana Plus came up and I was like, yup, thats were we are going. It was located in a sketchy part of town that made me question my decision. Walking in and the layout is the same as the one in San Jose. It wasn't very busy being that there was only one other customer and us. Employees were friendly. while looking at the ice cream flavors, one of the flavors caught my eye, it was the tequila ice cream. Got a free sample of that and it was really good. I will have to keep it in mind for next time that I visit the one in San Jose. Ordered a bionico which is fruit cream, and a scoop of ice cream on top. The apples seemed a little over ripe, and the cantaloupe seemed frozen, which did not help the flavor of the dessert. A plus is that it was a lot cheaper than San Jose. However, the portions were smaller. Also a plus is the ice cream is creamy delicious and flavorful. Went with the coconut ice cream and savored every bite.

Came here with my fiancé and I'm actually extremely disappointed! They need signs that they're out of certain things. The one thing I wanted to try was the mangonada and they didn't have any. The guy told me that there probably won't be any for 2 weeks! My fiancé and I ordered a small esquites, and a small mango michelagua. The michelagua was very watered down and it didn't even come with the tamarind candy straw. There are no prices listed in the shop. The total came out to be $9.40 after tax, just for 2 items. When we paid, we weren't told beforehand that they didn't have any receipt paper. I don't want to cause a scene, but you shouldn't be operating if you're out of a lot of the things and it's not even that late right now. I wanted the receipt so I can see the prices of each item. My elotes tastes so plain. They didn't add any chili powder. It just has cheese and some Valentina sauce. I can't even taste any of the mayonnaise. I'm highly highly disappointed. The guy seemed nice, but nice doesn't cut it. Also, the music in here is way way too loud!! I'm sorry, but I feel like you all are better off going to Morada Neveria Y Paleteria.

I'm a fan of this chain of michoacana plus! But this place has the worst customer service. The Manager Rocio is so rude and unprofessional, and that bad leadership is passed on to the rest of the employees. My family and I came from the bayarea to visit a family member who came to bring the family. We asked Rocio to make a paleta Eskimo for us she said we can't we have a lot of people, and we are busy, I said no problem, so I can wait, no rush! ROCIO said actually we don't have any chocolate!"" On a sarcatic rude way. Then they ran out of cups for 2 scoop ice cream. Then she was very sarcastic to my adult kids by saying yes, I know, when my daughter was reminding her of her order. I feel this manager needs to be retrained to represent the company bette. Also, the place needs more cleaning done, and christmas decor needs to be down its end of February.

Love coming here for a Mangonada! No other palaterias come close to this one! Always worth the drive here!

Customer service is not the best. Freezers seem to always be empty. Asked for a paleta didn't have it. Asked for mini pancakes didn't have them. Ended up getting an esquite which I felt was watered down.

I don't recommend this place to anyone, the service fucken sucked. The young lady who helped was extremely rude, we couldn't really hear anything she was saying and the food was so mid I would never spend my money here ever again.

Good service. Multi fruit agua Fresca with cream was so good ,(taste like otai).The pepino agua Fresca was really good too. All the drinks that we tried were really good actually. On the sweet side I could do with a little less sugar but still good. The place was bright and fun. Will be back

Be prepared to wait for a long time! We waited about a hour online! New business in our area and it's packed! Let me say it is worth the wait! The aqua frescas are absolutely delicious! We got the strawberry limeade michelada style and it was so cute in the most adorable container! Definitely will save the container and either reuse it or repurpose it, too stinking cute to waste! I had the coconut ice cream and it was so good! Shredded coconut all throughout it! Yummy ! parking is less than desirable but it is too be expected. Not the best area of town so if your nervous then just go in the daytime.

The older lady that works there I believe her name is Rosie makes u feel welcome every time one the reason I like going there because of great customer service

I seen rats in the corner of the kitchen run around, my girlfriend and I quickly left the establishment after being disgusted by not only what we were served, but the fact that they have rats back there. We had ordered a very nasty by the way Equi that and the person who made it went into the back and after we had to see and we noticed, we were so disgusted we just had to throw everything away and leave immediately.
