La Costa Taqueria

OK, first of all let me say I have tried the other spots that they have one on the other side of town also, one in Manteca and the other one is in Brentwood. All of those have been pretty good. This one has just OK not as good as the rest for some reason They need to invest in a credit card machine because they are losing a lot of business doing cash only but if I'm in the area, I will try it again just to make sure.

I've come here for five years maybe more and I've always enjoyed the food. I got a burrito there for the first time in months and have had the worst food poisoning ever. I ate it felt sick so I took a nap and since I've thrown up everything. So disappointed. It's ruined the restaurant for me. Service is quick and easy but I guess it's gone downhill. Seeing that they don't meet health inspection requirements doesn't make things much better.

Been in tracy for 3yrs and I wish I would've tried this spot sooner. Tacos are only 2$! And soooo good. Friendly staff and very quick service. Although they made the wrong burrito... it was still very good so we just ate it instead of taking it back. Will be returning weekly for our taco tuesdays!

Don't get me wrong, La Costa is one of the best. If not the best taqueria in town. However, the last few months they completely changed their chicken that they use for tacos and burritos. Now, they include these gross onions that are completely slimy when you get them inside of whatever you've ordered. Now. This is completely different than it has been over the last 10 years. I ordered one the other day Saturday I believe, but I am for sure going to be sticking with shrimp only. It's disgusting now this chicken. They said they did it for flavor, but their flavor of the chicken was the reason we kept coming back! I think they're just trying to bulk it up for cost saving purposes. My husband goes at least twice a week for lunch and his co-workers as well but they have all said the same thing about this new chicken that they're putting out there. Just super not good anymore. I'm not sure if the one on 11th. Is he doing the same thing or not, we don't have the guts to go even put money out there to find out. Good luck! I do highly recommend the shrimp though! And tell my husband tells me it's changed. We're not going to be ordering chicken. He went yesterday and told the girl and she apologized and said we did that for flavor. But if you're picking out stuff to get rid of that flavor, it's not a good thing. Especially when they're like gross slimy. Weird. I'd rather have raw onions than these.

This place used to be the best place for seafood and burritos. Their quality has significantly dropped in the last times I have gone. Got a big bite of avocado peel and the sticker. I guess at least I know they make their guacamole fresh.

La Costa is literally my favorite taqueria on earth. i've been going for years and will forever continue to. the salsa is great and the customer service is always top tier. they have such a great vibe and is open rain or shine.

Really good Mexican food. No better way to put it. Highly recommend the classic carne asada burrito or tacos.

I've always been treated incredibly well at this restaurant. The staff has always given me 5 Star service, and have gone above and beyond to ensure I was accommodated and provided with care and respect. The food tastes great, and has always filled me up. I've been to other restaurants in the area but they never provide me with the same treatment and courtesy as the team here does. The environment is also always filled with locals who you can tell have been long time customers. I'll never stop coming here, it's been time for me to write a review for years now. We stopped here out of pure convenience and time. I don't mind paying for good food but their $10 burrito is really sad. -wrapped loosely so it looks "bigger" but really just made it more difficult to handle bc my burrito was LIMP! -burrito won't stand up on its own-my al pastor was sooo oily and oil dripped everywhereYou're better off going to La Potracana down the street and paying $4 more for a real burrito that'll last you 2 meals bc theyr'e so stuffed and yummy. They're also cash-only. I think we all know why

I usually never give bad reviews, but this place has the worst food. Their "Agua Chile" is not an authentic agua chile. They added Guacamole sauce to the shrimp,and they consider it " Agua chile ". Carne asada tacos are okay. Tostadas de camarón have no flavor ! But like they say, you get what you pay for . Don't recommend this place at all !!!
