La Comisaria

Having a restaurant in Lodi generates a million trips to "Restaurant" supply stores. These big box stores are often out of something you really need. In steps LA Comisaria...we appreciate having this option so close to home. Good people and fun to see what they have.

Great customer service! The poke was delish. Many craft beer to select from keep in mind they don't always stock up on the same beers. It's nice just to try different ipa. I like supporting small businesses like these.

This market has everything we need. It's convenient to come here to shop while they fill up your propane tank.

Eclectic market in downtown Modesto carrying a nice mix of gourmet food, premium meats, and micro brews.Their meat counter is great, they carry excellent Niman Ranch Prime Rib Eyes and NY steaks. I also like their chopped carne asada taco meat and chicken taco meat. Meat always tastes fresh and is top quality.The 'Market' is part of 'La Comisaria' serving the local food trucks with supplies and meat.It is one of they few places that sells whole cows head to make tacos de cabeza.

A very clean and well stocked little market in an area of Modesto you might not think could support this type of venture.It's bright and open on the inside, and I was greeted by market manager Patrick almost immediately upon entry. This store has a great produce area, fresh cut meats, and miscellaneous sundries that would appeal to almost all. Open a little over a year now, this is a nice little stop for needs. Of most interest to me was a 30 foot, 8-door cooler that contained a very nice selection of craft beer. Almanac, Modern Times, Logsdon's, Cascade, Evil Twin, some Belgian beers and a boatload of others. It was very impressive to enter the market and see the variety that exists here.Patrick is a self-proclaimed beer geek as well, and we shared a few moments sharing our perspectives - if you need a great bottle of craft beer in Modesto for off-premises consumption, I would not hesitate seeking out this market, and chatting with Patrick.

Dry Chiles where bad, with moths! Otherwise it's a small cute place to hang out & have a drink.

The Jalapeño Cheddar and the Grandma's Special Sausage was absolutely outstanding!!! Homemade and authentic taste was amazing. Store manager Patrick is fantastic! The market is a hidden gem!!!

Best of the best meat! Friendly staff and they're al always ready to help out! Also, they have everything I need for my business needs. we definitely recommend a small business owners.

Service with a smile every time from every one. Their pollo pastor is our absolute favorite. You can't go wrong with any choice at the meat counter because it is all delish. Don't forget the shrimp ceviche too. Spicy is the Way2go. Can't wait to try the beers and sandwiches. Next visit!

Don't recommend. I came in to buy goat and BOTH times she sold me goat remains. Carcasses. There was barely any meat on them. And she charged me full price for scraps. She lied to my face and told me it was fresh. Never buying from here again.
