Kumon Math and Reading Center of Stockton - North

I began homeschooling my young children (6 and 4yo) last year but quickly felt that I didn't have the patience needed to teach them math and reading/writing. When I realized I needed help, my husband and I had to choose between sending them to a private school or pay for kumon tutoring. We decided that we would try tutoring first because we felt it would give them a better education on these challenging subjects. I brought my children to kumon with the hope that they would learn these skills and it would relieve some stress off of my shoulders. It has been a year now since my children were enrolled and words can't express how thankful I am to Mrs. Victoria and her team.They have been so kind and patient in tutoring my children and the results are incredible. Both of my children are excelling in their reading and mathematics! I am shocked at how effective and efficient this program is. My only regret is that I wish we would have started my 6 year old when she was 4. It would have saved a lot of tears for her.I can't say thank you enough to this wonderful facility. Mrs. Victoria truly cares and she has treated our children with kindness and respect. Both of my (shy and reserved) kids love her, her husband and the entire team. Thank you Mrs. Tran and Kumon Morada for your wonderful service to our community!

Had my daughter here for four months the owner is terrifying had my daughter curled up in the bathroom crying because she was yelling at her! Unacceptable behavior from an adult this is child abuse from this family you don't yell and scream at a child I will be filing a report with the better business bureau! This place needs to be shut down and she needs to have her accreditation taken away!

After five years of being with Kumon, I have a deep level of respect and appreciation for the hard work and patience that Mr. and Mrs. Tran have put in to help my kids get better. It saddens me that others have not had the same positive experience, but learning and growth take time and seeing Kumon results is no different. What I love about this program is that Mr. and Mrs. Tran have not only helped my children do well academically, but have helped them become more confident and patient learners who are not afraid to independently take on new challenges inside and outside of Kumon.One of the main reasons why my kids have excelled academically is because Mr. and Mrs. Tran set high expectations for them and continually encourage them to achieve their potential, some people may view this as being "strict," but the Kumon environment at this center has shown me that true growth happens when children are challenged to go beyond what they think they can do. The incremental nature of the Kumon program has also really helped my kids find balance between their schoolwork, other activities, and Kumon work because the instructors do not overburden them with work, but rather give them a personalized amount that fits their pace and level of mastery. This has also been a successful program for my family because it is a collaborative effort between parents, children, and the instructors, meaning that there is an open channel of communication between us (I always know what my kids are working on and how they are doing).All in all, I deeply believe that this program is a great choice for children who are open to change.. both on an academic and work ethic level. And Mr and Mrs. Tran have changed my kids to the better and have instilled in them positive attitudes and skills that I KNOW my kids will use for the rest of their lives.

Very poor customer service from owner. Harsh over the phone. Decided against trying this location as a result. Owner also owns quail lakes and Manteca. I've heard Lodi Kumon has better customer service and less intimidating for kids. Will give Lodi a try.

I enrolled my son in Kumon's Math and Reading program when he was in Kindergarten. He's now a 7th grader and in gate school. He's able to answer math questions and solve math problems very quickly because of consistent Kumon learning. I've never had to help him with his homework. Mr. and Mrs. Tran do a great job teaching him math and keeping him ahead of his school. I am happy that I chose this center for my son and much thankful to Mr. and Mrs. Tran for their dedication in setting up my son for success. My daughter is also their student since Kindergarten, and she's strong in both Math and Reading. Credit goes to Mr. and Mrs. Tran. I highly recommend their center, enroll your kids at an early age and go through the entire program. It will help them in the long run.

I like my children going to Kumon, because it helps them improve their reading skills.

I have been at this center when it first opened and Kumon has helped me in my rigorous academics at school. The instructors Mrs. Tran and Mr. Tran definitely cares about the students' education!

My daughter started KUMON just as she was finishing preschool and i believe it has made a huge difference in her academic performance. KUMON has helped her be in the top 10% of her class consistently. Mr. and Mrs. TRAN know how to bring out the best in my child using the KUMON method. They have ALWAYS been patient with my daughter. Kumon has given her the confidence and life skills that go far beyond mastering her KUMON Math and English curriculum. My daughter knows that she is getting ahead of other students because she has a year round learning program with KUMON. She knows during vacation periods from her conventional school schedule she is advancing faster than others because of her daily KUMON. I am proud of her and impressed by her KUMON work ethic. I look forward to more years of my daughter doing KUMON because I know she will have the skills to open the doors to the higher education she deserves and will have done it for herself.
