The class may be OK, the instructor may be OK, but do not give them your ATM or charge card number and make sure to read the contract in full.I gave the 30 day notice and it started up again even though the student was not there.We cancelled and it took months of haggling in emails and when the contact person got testy, I took other measures.What I had to do was change the number so they could not take money out.Even talked to the DA.My recommendation - cash or cashier's check so they do not get ANY of your account numbers.And, if I had read any social media beforehand, I would have followed the above advice so that he could still participate.

I have been attending Kicks for a year and a half now. The adult kickboxing and krav maga classes are fun and they are good workouts. Everyone in class has different levels depending on how long you have been doing it but you will be able to keep up even if you are new. The adult classes at Kicks has kept me interested and have kept me coming back!

All the previous reviews are primarily about the contracts & I get it. I've moved several times and been to several gyms and dealing with the contracts are the absolute worst. In any case, I am always upfront from the very beginning and I let wherever I am at know that I am always temporary. This was the case here and I did everything required to end my contract after two months and it went smoothly (granted, yes there was a few more steps than I would've thought). This following review will be entirely about the instruction and the classes. Again, I was here for two months & in those two months I got an amazing workout, felt comfortable with the instructor, and made some good friends & acquaintances with the extremely friendly people who frequent this place. The people themselves make this place worth coming. Even whilst I have moved to another country, my friends who are still attending this school encourage me to visit, and I always do! Workout totally kicks your butt in a good way too (:Yes, I would recommend if you're looking for a new and fun workout.

Three years ago I was a couch potato, this past year I completed a Tough Mudder event. that would not have been possible without Master Dave and Kicks. Master Dave really has a great way with adults and children both. He pushes us to be our best both in class and out. He is knowledgeable, friendly and has a great sense of humor. My son had to drop out because he found a summer job away from home. I gave them the 30 day notice and did not have any trouble with dropping his tuition off my bill. While Master Dave's wife Young does have trouble with English, she has never been anything but warm and friendly any time we have been in. She greets students by name as they come in the door and encourages those of us who are not super athletic when we are trying to master a tough tactic. I have recommended Kicks to several people and will continue to do so.

apparently Maria G. did not thoroughly read the contract when she first started at Kicks as it clearly stated one must notify the company that takes the tuition payments in writing 30 days prior to ending classes. Plain and simple.Our son has been a student at Kicks under Master Dave for over three years now and we have been nothing but pleased with the discipline, safety, physical fitness, good manners and common sense that he has taught our child. Great studio! Have recommmended it before to others and will continue to do so.

I hate to have to give this school a 2 stars but the school they go through for tuition payment are one of the rudest with poor customer service skills. The School it self is good, but I had to cancel my kids tuition after the six months was up due to other activities they were in. Let's just say you need to give the Tuition School a 30 day notice and I would call with documentation that I called and finally when the person I was suppose to deal with calls me. It's the day before the tuition is due. I went all the way up to General manager and none of them gave me even half price. After all the calling I did with NO RETURNED CALL. I guess the customer is not always right and I will never go back to this school because of the people they choose to use. I called the school and all he was worried about was the customer in front of him.

This place was a blessing for us when my daughter and I found this studio. After searching sooo many places in Tracy and in Manteca! As a new residence to Lathrop and trying out several trial classes in different studios. We finally found what we were looking for. The coach instructor is wonderful and great with the kids.

The school needs professionals and more "real" instructors. You pay about $120 a month but do not get the one-on-one attention that is needed. The instructor is very rude to the children and needs to put a filter on his mouth. I would not trust leaving children there unattended by a parent. Martial arts should boost an individual's confident and give then courage however going here was all wrong. Instructor loves to put people down and make a mockery of the students and parents. I was there for a short time but changed immediately after my daughter complained of his behavior and then I saw it for myself when he was being rude to a child

This place and the people are amazing. My review is for the kickboxing and Krav Maga classes as those are the ones I've attended. If you want a good workout this is definitely the place to go. The skills learned are those that you hope you'll never have to use but will be glad you have if you ever need them. Everyone there is very welcoming and helpful. Master Dave makes the classes fun and gives you a great workout. I would recommend this place to anyone and everyone.
