Founded in 1917, Kennedy Meadows is a seasonal resort with wood cabins, a general store, horseback riding, and even a casual restaurant.Nestled in the Sierra Nevada Mountains - it's a wondrous hub - that allows you to pursue adventurous interests like fishing, hiking, horseback riding and more.I've never stayed at the cabins here, so I can't speak to the overnight amenities here, but we often hike out of this area - and we regularly stop into the general store for sustenance for our excursions.Currently due to the pandemic - the campgrounds are closed - but I believe horseback rides and pack rides are already open.Trust.

Our family has been going to Kenedy Meadows since we were kids with my Dad in the 50s. Several changes through the years before the fire and after. Have a lot of childhood memories. We use to be able to camp down in the meadows. I even hicked back to the Lake.

Great place to take the kids for horseback riding and other outdoor activities. The people are friendly and the prices at the store and restaurant are reasonable.

This campground is at the very south eastern tip of the Sequoia National Forest. I was the idiot tourist who thought the giant sequoias were everywhere...not the case. If you are looking for the sequoias, you can either go to the National Park or google different groves I ended up going to Trail of 100 Giants. We stayed in a tent site, near the river. The site had a picnic table, nice shady tree with flat ground to put our tent, and a fire pit. THAT'S ABOUT ALL IT HAD. (not a complaint, I like it this way)1. no showers.2. no garbage service-bring out what you brought in!!! 3. no electricity.4. one water spicket to share with other campers. This is camping!!!! Nowhere near the city! Bring everything you need! The bathrooms are dark at night. bring a flashlight.

Just got home from our family vacation at Kennedy Meadows Resort - Pack Station. The people in the resort office are rude and are only concerned about collecting your money.. Seems they dont care about keeping repeat customers happy..Let me explain.. each year before we go home we reserve our cabin for the following yaer.. Last year the price was $150 per day for the cabin. We prepaid $150 deposit for this years rental..When I showed up..They told me now it is $160 per night.. I told them the deposit agreement was for $150 per night,,Not $160 per night.. The lady told me they raised the prices during the off season and I had to pay the $160 per night..We reserved for 4 night ,Therefore $40 extra.. II paid it and went back to our cabin.. wasnt too happy..Thats not how to treat your customers.. I told my mom about what had happened..She went back into the office and asked for explaination..She began to tell the people in the office weve been going there for over 50 years with multiple families and 4-5 cabin rentals each trip.. Guess what they replied to her.... "WE DONT CARE.".. Exact words.. We spend thousands of $$ between all the family there each year and ....they dont care.. The prices in the store there are rediculous, more than double what they should be.. also had to buy a $5 phone card for $7.50 which i used all of it in 2 - 2 minute phone calls.. So..if you enjoy giving your money to people who dont give a crap about you..I highly reccomend this place..

This place is so serene. So much wildlife. So much geology. Last time I went trout fishing and caught 15 in under an hour. Beautiful hiking. Got to see three bears and many deerand Coyotes. Careful though, as Sasquatch do roam the area. Pretty sure we heard them.
