Keema Park is in East Franklin California and is 2.2 Acres in size. One of many parks of the Cosumnes Parks & Recreation Districts. The park is named after Henry Keema whom in 1852 immigrated from Prussia to the Franklin Area and married Mary Ehrhardt ( daughter of John Ehrhardt ). They farmed the property known as Keema Mound.( Franklin Blvd. / Lambert Road ). Keema's descendants continue to farm and contribute for the betterment of the Franklin/Elk Grove Community. This park has an open play area perfect for weekend soccer games. Paved walkways for your morning walks, picnic area with tables and a gazebo for shade. A play structures with slides, climbing structure, swings and more. My little family really likes this park. It's in the neighborhood and it's generally more quiet bc it's hidden away a bit from the main streets. There's a nice play structure and a simple swing set. My kids enjoy playing here a lot in good weather during spring and summer, mostly. Not as crowded as other neighborhood parks, well maintained by cosumes csd and there's plenty of grassy areas for sports too. Highly recommended.
