We squeezed in this place after wine tasting all day, but didn't have a lot of time to stay and truly enjoy this beautiful winery. We were there for Amador's Big Crush Harvest Wine festival, so it was extremely packed, but what first made me love it, was the kind, older, gentleman working the tasting bar towards the back of the room. Wow he seemed to have so much patience with all the loud folks. Since he was busy we only asked to try one of their sparkling wines, as we knew if it was good enough, we'll just take a bottle outside. He ended up giving us a second tasting of their Strawberry sparkling and wow that sealed the deal!We took the one bottle to enjoy it outside their beautiful garden, the greenery amongst the pops of red flowers made the sipping and interaction more enjoyable. As the birthday girl, I ended up buying a case of sparkling for my sisters camping trip the following weekend! I purchased three each of: Strawberry, Peach, Raspberry, and Chenin Blanc. My family loved them all, and now I have to plan a sisters and mom trip to Karmère!

After a tasting at Amador Cellars, where we are members, we decided to give Karmere a try, and we are very happy we did. Our sommelier and tasting manager Hayley was very friendly and accommodating, giving us a through exploration of their wines, even at the final tasting time at which we arrived. The wines were all very delectable. The tasting fee was only $10 per person and was waived with the purchase of wine. We opted for a delicious sparkling wine and a fantastic Zinfandel-Barbera-Petit Syrah blend, and we very much enjoyed the artistry behind the labeling on the latter. Beyond the wine, the estate itself is beautiful and looks like a rustic French chateau filled with antique clocks and other vintage toys. The grounds feature pulchritudinous vistas, statues, and topiaries that all add to the bucolic charm. Our inquisitive Shiba Inu also approved of Karmere, giving the winery two "paws up" after thoroughly inspecting the terraced gardens. We will definitely visit again when we are in Shenandoah Valley, as our first encounter with Karmere was a pleasure.

This is our favorite winery in the Shenandoah Valley We have been coming to Karmere Vineyards for many years. It's always great visiting with Hayley in the tasting room. She makes everyone feel so welcome with her friendly smiles and conversations. Excellent wines My favorites are the: Juana Primabera ( Primitivo/Barbera blend) + their 3 Zinfandels are mighty tasty. My husband especially likes their Syrahs + the Naughty Bawdy which is their fun jug blend that they make year after year. A great 1 to bring to the Concerts in the Parks as it has a screw top and is a conversation piece. When it warms up, the Doreen's Rose is refreshing & a good choice.Their picnic grounds are lovely & spacious with scenic views of the vineyards & valley. There are several umbrellas & tables & a large covered patio. Friendly & knowledgeable staff. Always a pleasure to have "Cupcake" as our server.... He always puts a smile on our faces. Karmere is a MUST winery to visit when heading to the Amador area and it's only about an hour from Sacramento

Visited this place yesterday while driving around the area and looking for wineries that were open during holiday Christmas week. Found this one and the place had some good wines. Good sparking wines as well and in a very quiet and nice atmosphere. The ambiance was nice and really quiet during the time we went so that was cool. The people were friendly and very welcoming and enjoyed this hospitality! Will definitely be back.

Did I love this place? Yes! Was the experience worth the price? Yes! Was the wine up to par? OMG, yes! What about the service? 100 stars! We visited with a group of friends and were so happy to have stopped here. We all became some sort of members (which reminds me, I have wine to pick up) but that's not the point. The great experience here was solely due to how easy it was to ask a question and get great answers while creating relationships! Every single person we encountered here was amazing.

The 1st thing that I noticed when we drove on to the property of Karamere Winery was the amazing tasting room structure. My understanding is that it was the home of the owner, who had it gutted and transformed and into a French style Chateau tasting room. Also in the parking lot, there is a parking spot for a Tesla with a charger. Walking from the parking area there were all kinds of whimsical art--please see my pics. When entering the tasting room, I noticed the HUGE beams. The tasting area is at a bar where you stand to get your pours. On the walls were large bold paintings of women painted about 20 years ago by Stephanie Gardner. Their award winning wines were featured on the mantal of the fireplace. They are open 11-5 daily. It was 5 pours for $10. I chose their sparkling wines: Strawberry, Peach, Raspberry, and Almond. My favorite was Sparkling Almond-- I purchased 2 bottles at $19 each. Buying a bottle made it so we got the tasting for free. Remember to make a reservation for tasting. No limos are allowed. Their grounds are very trippy with how some trees were trimmed in a spiral. Their was a picnic area for patrons, however, no alcohol is allowed outside. So keep in mind if you are a member or having a tasting that you can picnic there. One last thing, they sustainably farm their grapes and use organic practices whenever possible.I recommend Karamere highly!

This is a MUST stop for wine lovers. Super friendly staff, beautiful grounds and fantastic wines. Hayley was our server who took us "on a trip through the vineyard" by way of the wines we were tasting. Everyone should have no problem finding there favorite. The barrel tasting is always an extra special item we look forward to during our visits. Be sure to make note of the wonderful sculptures located in the vines and picnic area. When ever we are in this part of California's wine country, we make time for this winery. Let their wines dance on your palate and it will become one of your favorites as well.
