If you're looking for a riding instructor with decades of experience, incredible patience, and a deep love and appreciation of horses, look no further than Karen Young. A year ago, my daughter fell off a horse and broke her arm, and Karen has been invaluable in helping restore her skills and confidence. Six months ago, my daughter wouldn't go faster than a walk; now she is walking, trotting, cantering, and even jumping a bit. When we made the decision to purchase her first horse, Karen gave us expert advice and regularly came with us when we looked. She guided us on exactly what to look for, and thanks to her knowledge, wisdom, and advice, she helped us find the perfect horse. While Karen's specialty is Western dressage, she has expert knowledge of both English and Western riding, including dressage, hunter/jumper, equitation, and pleasure riding. We're so grateful to have found her.

I have been taking lessons from Kacey Sport Ponies for seven years, and loved every one of them! Karen is so patient and always knows how to help me improve my riding. Their new facility is awesome, and always kept clean. All the ponies are sweet and a ton of fun to work with. Overall, a very positive, safe, and fun environment!

I have known Karen Young for approximately 20 years. I first started working with her in both hunters and jumpers when I was 15. Then, I was actively competing; now, I am just involved recreationally, but she still makes all the difference. She is very good at seeing both the big picture--what you want to do with your riding--as well as the small details that add up to create that larger picture. Endlessly patient, she works well with both kids and beginner riders. However, she also has the skills ability to work with riders competing on the A circuit or in dressage. For a great, caring, involved trainer, Karen is the best. BTW, she also trains horses and ponies from starting them to finishing them.
