The employee here she kept pressuring me to buy this bc I was buying Birkenstock's. I asked if I can take a photo and she said "I guess". I understand your upset, if you want me to have it so bad... buy it for me!!! I don't appreciate this employees unnecessary frustration on me, nor her rude attitude. She kept saying you need this because your Birkenstocks are expensive ... you don't think I know that ? I mean who is buying them? I said "no" more than six times. Respect my decision and please back off. Not coming back here. Ever.

My sisters and her went in here and we were just browsing. As soon as we walked in they asked if we needed help , we said no thank you. Then not we took a few more steps and another Team member asked us the same question. At this point we were getting annoyed because we were looking for shoes and did not need help just yet. Once we went to the croc section and were browsing all three associates were standing in the middle of the store starring at us . I pointed that out to my sisters and guess what they asked us again if we needed help! I just felt uncomfortable at that point and took my business somewhere else not to be a Karen but that was really annoying.

I went to the Journey's in San Diego. They were very nice but they forgot to put 1 shoes in the box. After arriving home in Los Banos, a 6 hour drive. I noticed the box didn't contain 2 shoes. I immediately called corporate and the store where I originally purchased the shoes. Both of them coordinated very nicely and told me to take the shoes to the local store at my mall- which is about 45 minutes away. I thought it was a bit of inconvenience but I wanted my shoes. I ended up driving to the mall in Modesto and upon arriving I noticed that I didn't have my receipt. However, I did have my bank card which I used during the original transaction and I even had the bank app on my phone showing that I paid for them in San Diego. Unfortunately the lady working was having an off day or was just out right a mean person. She had little regard for the inconvenience that I had to go through. She showed absolutely no empathy. She treated me as if I was doing her a favor by going to the store and taking money to her. She gave me a very difficult time because I didn't have my receipt. I've worked retail before and I understand importance of having a receipt in order to avoid fraud and other things that could be bad for business. But I spoke to corporate and the store in San Diego and they called them telling them the situation. So she had no other choice. She wasn't too happy and was being very rude!!! She processed the transaction. After that I kindly ask for a bag and she told me- and I quote, "no you may not have a bag because you don't have a receipt." After that... I just had it. I walked out and I told myself I will never go back to that store again. This was an overall bad experience. It was:1) unprofessional 2) demeaning3) without empathyI am very unhappy!

I was here on 2/14/18 with my grandkids. The store was not that busy and there was only one associate who stayed behind the counter at most times. The store was clean, well maintained and well stocked in general that's why I gave them 3 stars, it should be more if the associate was friendlier about helping guests. We were there about noon and my 14 year old granddaughter who was also celebrating her bday was able to pick a nice pair of shoes. We were browsing the store for awhile and we were never greeted or offered assistance. We had to approach the associate for assistance, she was not smiling and she was less enthusiastic at all times. She was not engaging and more focused on tasking. At the register, she was able to recommend other items and thanked us for coming.

The customer service is excellent. I only gave it a 4 because when I got home I figured out I think I left a Victoria's Secret bag in the store so I called 19 times in three hours and no one ever picked up the phone so I was really upset about that.

While at the mall earlier today, I began to feel low blood sugar coming on. I let a team member know I wasnt feeling well, they offered me a chair and a bottle of water. Much appreciated!

I was just outside of Journeys while waiting for my older daughter and I lost my phone. About a half hour later I rushed back to their store in a panic and I asked the associates if they had seen or been given a misplaced cell phone. They checked their lost and found and no phone had been turned in, however they graciously allowed me to use their desk phone to call my cell phone multiple times. I kept calling until someone answered my phone, they told me they had found it unattended and they agreed to track me down and bring it back to me. I waited inside Journeys and my phone was returned to me. The associates were so kind and helpful, if it wasn't for their help I would have struggled to retrieve my phone. Additionally, the show selection was lovely, particularly the Doc Martens.

If I could give zero stars I would I bought a pair of ugg slippers Saturday the 9th they were extremely uncomfortable so I decided to take them back on the 12th they told me since I wore them in my house to see if I could wear at all sense I just had surgery on the 23rd so anywAys as I took them back they said no I see you wore I said yes around my house Saturday evening she said well I can not put back on shelf to sell so I van not return or exchange well due to covid I would hope you aren't putting back on shelf to sell a return anyways I asked for corporate number and she wrote wrong number down but I did my homework and did a store complaint

I wish I could give zero stars if it was an option! Specifically the Journeys located in Modesto CA on Dale Road has the WORST employees ever! Please take your money somewhere else! The employees at this location are tricksters! They will convince you so many times to buy their shoe cleaners and socks depending what shoe you are buying. Even if you say "NO" they will still convince you to buy it. I suggest everyone to always ask for a receipt just in case you paid more than what your suppose to on any of the item(s) you purchased! They will constantly ask you if you need help when you have not been in the store for more than 5 minutes. I felt so uncomfortable and bothered when each employee came up to me and asked me if I needed help every 20 seconds. Once again I hope you take your money somewhere else so you won't get tricked by these employees.
