Nothing against the waitress. She was decent but could have improved in being a tadbit more friendly. But I understand her she was running around like a Chicken with no head. All while this heavy duty set light skinned woman. Which in today's generation they call them tortas was sitting down wih her family having a good time while wearing a Joses's Birrieria uniform. Assuming she was on the clock. What bother me is that she got mad at the waitress because we were waiting for her to ask her for another beverage instead of helping her out. We were there I would say about 1.5-2 hours and no help whatsoever for that waitress. Food was decent. Asada was super well done with no flavor. Birrias was good a little dry. Carnitas were good. A little dry as well. Salsas were not good at all. Way too watery with no heat or flavor. I ask for a Burrito Mojado instead of it being creamed with salsa. It was creamed with excess of water. Could have been either from the salsa or the lettuce they put around it. Drinks were $5 each because they are "Imported". But yet they buy them from the local costco or local Smart & Final. $5 for a glass of Horchata and Jamaica but with no option of at least one refill. And they still expect a tip after implying their gratuity fee

This little Mexican restaurant shouldn't be overlooked. It's not in the best part of town, but I strongly suggest that you give it chance. The food here is pretty good. I've dined here in the evening a few times now and have never had a bad meal...and I've tried different items each time. The quesadilla w/chicken was really tasty. Both their carne and birria tatemada tacos are also really tasty. Now the tacos are street size, so a little pricey for what you get. They only give you a small bowl of chips & salsa but will bring you more upon request. Cerveza aqui...sí!The parking lot is a little tight, but it is doable. They also have karaoke (in spanish...don't know about english)...at least on the Saturday nights that we've eaten here. I've also seen a small mariachi group playing.Now my spanish is minimal. Each time I've dined here, I got by as the wait staff's English was about equal to my spanish. But it was fun trying to make sure both understood each other. Regardless of the language barriers, our orders were perfect! So again, I strongly recommend this place. I've been here a few over the last few months. I don't think you'll be sorry.

This is a hidden gem on the south side of Stockton. We got the Quesabirria tacos (available with chivo/goat or res/beef) which were delicious! We also ordered a few tacos and I loved that the salsas came in squeeze bottles. The soda was a glass bottle Coke, made with real sugar. The staff was attentive and very friendly. The restaurant was clean, bright, and not too busy at lunch time.

Outstanding authentic experience! A true hidden treasure. I highly recommend the carnitas beans and rice tacos plate, simple and perfect! Every single dish we've had [party of five] during our lunch meeting was great, leaving us thoroughly impressed.Maybe turn the music down a pinch, lol

I usually don't leave comments but this time it really blew my mind. I ordered the camarones a la diabla-ajo (spicy shrimp with garlic added) they were the bomb! Even though it was really spicy, I couldn't stop eating them. Really great hand made tortillas. My husband ordered chile relleno combo and he was also sweating from the spiciness of the salsa. The waitress was really nice and did asked him if he wanted the salsa spicy. For sure I will be back. Next time I'll try the goat birria tatemada and this time I will take pictures.

I ordered from this place on Doordash. I was hesitant because it was a little on the pricey side for me. It was worth every penny! I got the Morisqueta. The rice soft and fluffy, the beans had good flavor, the pork with the salsa was delicious and tender. It was so soft yall that you can chew the bones without a problem. My husband got tacos and ig your thinking yikes 3+ dollars for a taco. Get them! They are big tacos with hand made tortillas. The asad had good flavor. All of it was chefs kiss. 10 out ot 10 recommend!

Food was little pricey but good. Birria de chivo was really good. House salsa with chips is delicious. My husband got mix fajitas and he did not like it because they topped it with red sauce. Looks like family run and service was good too. Very authentic ambiance and food, felt like I was in mexico.

I had the Quesadilla Regular was amazing for the price it's worth it % it the restaurant is neat I'd recommend it
