My daughter is 3 generations to attend this school so of course 5/5. The education my first grader has received has confirmed my feelings on the school view on education. Also love the feedback from front office 2018 was a lot of hecklers plus bad smoke pollution which the school was always keeping the parents updated.

Well, I was very pleased with this school for first two years, kindergarten and first grade. I visited my daughters second grade class today and found out that this teacher doesn't have desks for the students some sat on the floor on little carpets others at tables, one sat on a plastic looking thing that constantly moved. I'd rather my daughter sat at a desk. I look at her class work and think she has problems writing, now I see it's because she doesn't have a desk to do her work on. I asked my wife if we could change her classrooms and my wife said that's not possible. So I'm disappointed in that and hoping next years teacher is more discipline and has a structured classroom.

John Muir is such an excellent school! The atmosphere is so welcoming, the parents are involved, the kids are great, and most importantly the teachers are top notch. As a parent of a child with special needs I often worry about the school experience. Here, my son was treated with dignity, he was never made to feel like he was a bad student or incapable of achieving what others could despite his disabilities. His teacher was amazing and collaborative and always willing to do whatever it took to help him succeed. I've never witnessed a teacher who worked harder at reaching every student! I always felt welcome and appreciated her communication. Even the admin and yard duties were great at communicating and supporting him in any way they could. I highly recommend this school. The only reason we didn't continue is because we moved out of state. We miss everyone at JM so much!

My daughter has gone to this school since 1st grade and I'm very pleased. The kids in my family have been raised in the Lodi Unified District and my daughter has too. I'm happy the schools are better than they used to be. The only thing I was unhappy about was that there is no counselor at the school. There was an incident that happened w/ my child and a counselor was needed. The principal said there was no counselor for the school and that we had to look for help outside of school. I was not happy about that! Despite that, it's in a pretty good neighborhood and there hasn't been any serious issues.

This is a great school! My granddaughter is really learning a lot here, and there are a lot of after school clubs, and a great after school program, too!
