Beware. Recommend doing a vet check or having very knowledgable person check out any horse before purchasing from here. We made the mistake of believing their "expertise" with regards to several issues we saw and questioned. Our bad, we are fairly new horse owners having only a few years of horse experience under our belts. Gina, the owner, seems very nice but she sold us a "great, finished horse...no problems...sound.." that actually has some serious health problems. They said he stumbled a bit because his hooves needed a trim (hindsight ...I knew better, they weren't that long) and so our farrier (who is also a trainer and has many years experience) came out a few days after we brought him home and gave him a trim. We had noticed a slight limp and asked him to check it out. He noted a possible injury. A vet check a few days later (including X-rays) showed he has a front foot injury and likely has had a broken back, at minimum has had a serious back injury. He needs glucosamine & chondroitin daily forever, vet also strongly recommends chiropractic adjustment & possibly a series of shots (that may or may not work and cost $120 each). Upon sharing the information with Gina, she did not take any steps to take any responsibility for her oversight and claims. The owner and her hired hands spoke with full confidence of his soundness. We didn't know better. Seems they missed a few things so make sure you don't. It is a $1600 lesson for my husband and I. He is in search of another, more suitable horse now but we won't be going back to JG Horses.

A warning to horse lovers everywhere....Gina is a CON ARTIST! This whole place is where she sells horses she picked up at auction for $300. She cleans them up a bit, attaches a sweet story and sells them for 5 x that. I am one of the lucky ones, I bought a horse from her and knew enough to look out for myself but he still has some medical problems and is not the "dead quiet" husband horse I expected. I love my little guy and he has a forever home with me but it was a hard lesson to learn. Gina told me the horses there were on "consignment" (because who really wants to say they are a horse trader???) and PROMISED a phone call from the owner to pass on all vet records, which of course do not exist. After weeks of calling Gina for the info she had promised, she texted me some random dates that said: shots, shoeing and teeth. My vet found that my horse had not had his teeth done for 3-4 years, not 6 months like I was told!! It should have been a clue that when I was done trying the horse in the worlds smallest arena, I asked for some time to think about it. Right then, Gina got a phone call from someone else wanting to look at the same horse who was "very interested". What a coincidence!! The most heartbreaking was the condition that the horses were kept in. Some were in pasture with terrible injuries and others were in small, filthy stalls. It was awful. I know by the time I post this she will have moved on and be operating somewhere else, doing it all over again but just had to say my piece!

I just bought a horse from her and I had a wonderful experience with her. When I first met them they bought me three horses for an advanced beginner, which was very helpful for me to see the difference on the type of horse I wanted from a little hot to pretty lazy. I ended buying one with a vet check and he has been the same horse when I first rode him before purchasing. I would highly recommend her for anyone to go see what they want and to be very specific on what they can handle. I love my horse I got from her and she was completely honest with me when I was trying to decide on which of the three horses I wanted. she really helped me out and made sure I bought a horse that would suit me best.
