Over the years, I have picked cherries, peaches, apricots, apples, olallieberries, apples, and strawberries but have always wanted to pick blueberries. Not only it is my dad's favorite fruit but they tend to be on the pricier side. So when I discovered it available for U-Pick at Jessop Farms in Ripon, about an hour and 15 minutes away, I knew I finally need to go for myself. It can be labor intensive until you get the hang of it but at just $3.75 per pound, you can get more than triple the amount for the price you would for just a quart at the Farmer's Market - http://aroundthebayandaway.blogspot.com/2019/06/fruits-of-our-labor-in-ripon.html. In addition to blueberries, they also have strawberries, cherries, and peaches for U-pick as well but call to confirm availability before going as they have a short season.

I learned about this place from a co-worker. We went late in the season which was a bummer. We know for next time. I was able to get about 4 cups of blueberries for a pie, which was plenty! I feel like the place is a bit run down and the rows were quite overgrown with weeds. They weren't maintained at all. The pond was green and murky - pretty gross! Please spend some time and clean up the place, you can do better!

It's free just pay for your berries ya pick. They serve ice cream and have buckets for berries if ya forget your own and everyone is so nice! I recommend this place to everyone.

I highly recommend this place if you're looking for strawberries were so sweet that they taste like candy! This spot is very family friendly, they have mini golf, picnicking areas, ice cream, local honey, almonds, and u-pick strawberries and blueberries. As already mentioned the strawberries are SO GOOD, but the blueberries were also delicious! I don't know if they do almond u-pick later in the season or if they're just for sale, but they have a ton of almond trees. I know I will definitely come back here during strawberry season next year! (Unfortunately this place is a couple hours drive from me otherwise I'd be back every weekend...)

Highly recommended! You'll love this farm. It's great for families...especially with young kids. They got a playground with a bouncy house, mini golf, lots of shades for picnic, ice cream. Their strawberries are sooo plump and sweet and delicious. According to the owner, they don't spray their crop. Which is great!!! There is no fee in getting in. You pay by the pound of fruits you picked. Easy access. Off of Hwy 99, exit French Camp Rd then make a right on S Murphy and they're on your left side of the road.

What a gem this place is. We have a family day every Thursday. And this past Thursday we took our boys here to spend some time picking berries. What a blast! You start off by picking a bucket. The boys each had to have their favorite color, and off we went. We hit the blue berry field first. Got off to a slow start, as the kids didn't really get that we could pick the berries. ;) But as soon as we showed them how it was done they where pros. By the time we reached the other side of the field each had a half bucket full. (the big bucket) So we dropped off the blue berries and headed back out. Next stop Strawberries! loaded up our buckets once again. After we finished picking we headed over to pay. They also sell local honey and more fruit from a farm down the road. Pie by the slice. 5 flavors of ice cream. $1 for a cup or cone, Ice tea, lemonade aid and water, all for $1. Oh and they have fresh blue berries and almonds you can add on top of your ice cream. If the berry picking wasn't enough, Jessop farms also has several play areas for kids. Jungle gym, bounce house, and boat sailing on a sea of blue sand. There is a putting green, basket ball court, tether ball and lots of areas to picnic and enjoy your day.We spent a grand total of $18.00 and got 2 lemonades, 4 ice creams, enough blue berries and strawberries to make pies, muffins and have ton left over to eat fresh, and a great day out side with our family. This is a must visit little gem. Don't forget your sun block and hats. :)

Really great cute family farm. It was really fun to take my kid (2 year old) to pick our own berries. He had a blast. Fruit is reasonable priced. There are other activities as well for the kids - jump house and sandbox. Everyone working there was very nice and informative. We went first week of June and the strawberries weren't quite rip yet.

We went for blue berries picking. Lots of blue berries but not so many strawberries. Kids enjoy play structures and jump house. They sell ice creams too and it was so good after blue berries picking on a hot day. FYI, they take credit cards.
