My family and I came here with our kiddos to beat the warm Sacramento heat! Definitely a great spot to cool off for the afternoon at such a bargain for everyone. I paid $3 per head and we stayed for about 3 hours, 12-3 pm. Perfect peak hours of a summer day. This CSD aquatic center is smaller than the other two in Elk Grove, but this one does have a waterslide! (not quite as large as the new CSD aquatic center) That was a plus for all of our kids. The height requirement for this is 42". What I also enjoyed at this facility is they don't strongly enforce for your kids to wear a life jacket if they are smaller and/or don't appear as strong swimmers. Don't stress though, they still have plenty of active lifeguards on duty. And those lifejackets are provided if they are needed. The downsides about this place are:1. No snack bar - but they do allow you to bring outside food and drinks in2. No kiddie swimming area for toddlers/younger kids to roam freely3. Bathrooms aren't as well maintained-no toilet seat covers-low on toilet paper-toilet paper on the ground where it's wet from people tracking in water

I try to avoid crowds at all cost. Since swimming pool ownership is neither desired nor in our budget, we decided to check out this pool. I know that public pools are cesspools of diseases, bacteria, children's (and hopefully not adults') bodily fluids, etc. However, I like to live dangerously. Anyhow, my husband and children like to live life on the edge too, so on this super hot day, we came to swim. ;o) We purposely avoided Wackford pool, even though it's much newer, so we had no idea what to expect coming to this older swim center here. Pleasantly surprised that this pool isn't as old as I thought it would be. There's one large pool, with the shallow end sectioned off for little ones, and then the deep end is made available only to those who do not use some kind of swim device (life jacket, floaties, etc.) They have life jackets for little ones which were in pretty good condition. We had a great time trying to teach the kids to swim and having fun splashing and swimming. It wasn't too crowded when we got there at 1 pm. The pool opens at noon on the weekends and closes at 5 pm. It's super affordable as they only charge $1 for kids under 5 and $3 for kids (and adults who are kids at heart, haha) 5 and older. Hopefully, that won't change. There's also pretty formidable slide that hubby and I had fun going down again and again (really, we're not adventurers at heart, so just a couple times each). Overall, we had a great time and plan to come back again. Glad there's a no frill but lots of thrills swim center in Elk Grove.

Small pool, much smaller than Wackford, however much more affordable. 1/3 of the pool is roped off, it's the only area where life jackets are allowed. The depth in that area was 3-4 feet. Life jackets are provided, free of charge, or you may bring your own. There is one slide, for 42" and up, however child cannot need a life jacket. During the week they have the summer camp come over and swim, so it was actually a lot busier than we had expected. Besides the pool and slide, there's a small play structure for kids and quite a bit of grass underneath a large shaded tree. They also have a small snack bar w a few candies, drinks and ice cream/popsicles for purchase. Everything looked to be about $1 or $2

This was the first time I had been to this location in years. I learned to swim here as a kid and I don't think I have been back since my last swim lesson. Looking at the pool now it brings back memories of when I was a kid. I thought it was great then and I have to say I appreciate this center even more now as an adult. We rented the facility for a birthday party and it was TOTALLY worth it. Parents, this is the way to go for an inexpensive, safe, fun place for a summer party! The entire facility was at our disposal with included the pool, the water slide, a playground and about 8 picnic benches. Now the reason I say it's safe for you parents out there is because the place is all fenced in so no one can come in or out without going through their check in. They also provided FIVE lifeguards that watched the kids while they were in the pool! There were three lifeguards watching the pool and one lifeguard at the top of the water slide, helping the kids get on safely AND another one at the bottom of the slide to make sure they got out safely. Every lifeguard was SUPER friendly! Well worth the money! This place gets five stars because of their clean facility and friendly helpful staff!

We rented out the pool for a Girl Scout event. The lifeguards were super friendly. They even helped us load and unload our car (we had a very large and heavy cooler). I love how you get the pool area plus a little picnic area, and playground on the side. The water slide was a hit with the kids. Both the pool and picnic areas were clean. I would definitely recommend renting this place for special events.

First time I came here was this summer since my daughter had a swimming class there. I was a little hesitant because I really wanted to go to Wackford but since they were all sold out and Jerry Fox had openings, I just signed up for it. Suprisingly it was decent. Great place to have your kids learn how to swim and the staff is very friendly. Complaints: -bleachers had duck feces on it... staff should really maintain that and make sure it's clean -more seating in the pool area-small compared to the Wackford Aquatics Complex
