Jamestown Railtown Motel

My boyfriend and I stayed here last night. The lady at the front desk was very nice the office looked clean. We booked a room with jacuzzi. So we put our things in the room and left. We came back later and I noticed there were no bath towels or wash rags so I called the front desk they immediately brought a set of bath towels to our room. We started the jacuzzi turned on the jets and brown water came gushing out of the Jets, the water smelled like rotten eggs it was gross. Next day I told the man at the front desk when we checked out and there was no mention of giving a discount due to the fact that we were not able to use the Jacuzzi and that's the whole reason why we got that room and paid to have that room, but we were not able to use it.

Great customer service from Evon. I think that's her name. The pretty gal that lived in Hollister She was amazing, very kind, and helpful. She just made us feel very welcomed. We will be coming back just because of her great service. And the room was so nice and clean. Very happy I give this place a high 10+

One Blanket - too short and not warm. Place does not answer phone or have coffee before 7:30am. Neon "OPEN" sign is lit up- even when place is closed. No electric outlets near bed. Older building * poorly insulated. Doesn't heat uniformly. Good points: clean and sanitary- and maid service is excellent. Great internet. Great cell phone connectivity

This hotel accommodated us on our last-minute trip! The best Custer service and very clean hotel. The lady working the front desk was even nice enough to give us a room where we could park our motorcycle at the front door so we could keep an eye on it. The jacuzzi bathtub was big enough for 2 and very relaxing! The location was perfect for us, right downtown, and we could walk to everything! We walked main street, had dinner there, and even close enough to walk across the street to Dollar General, Taco Bell and Gas station. We will be back! Oh, and the price was right, Bob $$.

this was the worst stay I ever experience. the bed was broken, the jetted tub rarely worked. The family all left with aches and pains and even our 3.5 yr old complained of her neck hurting from the discomfort of the bed. The microwave worked periodically during our four days there. There was no linens/towels the last night of our stay and we 200 dollars that night because someone said there was a weed that fell off the bed of our truck into the parking lot which we promtly picked up. I have never brought my own cleaning products into a hotel/motel but on this occasion cleaned dust that looked as if it had been there for quite sometime and cleaned everything infact! The manager in charge seemed nice but over worked and un aware of the lack in hospitality because of having only 2 people run the site. I am requesting my money back.

Great for a stop over. We stayed after a concert at Ironstone. If you're doing that drive please have a Dr.The motel itself is basic, clean, roomy and easy to find off 108 only 1 block. No info on coffee but coffee in the lobby. Wal kjv ing distance to dining and brousing.

Hot water, comfy bed, clean room, friendly check in, very convenient to Main St and antiquing and the Railtown museum.

Staff was friendly and helpful. Will stay here again.Room was fairly clean and air conditioner worked well even in 110 weather.Only basic TV channels and No movie options.

I needed accommodations in a pinch when my EV had issues charging... after arriving at 2 AM, Yvonne (hope I spelled that right) helped me at the night window immediately after I buzzed. Bed was soft and comfy- but most importantly, it was CLEAN with that fresh linen scent and a hint of sanitizer; to clarify, it did not smell like strong chlorine bleach and neither did the room. I'm not sure how they launder their linens, but we own a laundromat and they seem to have it dialed. Ice and vending are convenient, a cold fridge awaits, and the shower is clean and refreshing. There's a couple cafes and a pizza place in walking distance. I also met the owner who was personable and offered suggestions to help with my situation. After having survived my ordeal (which could have been catastrophic) I had a AAA+ experience and will tell people about Railtown.Thanks Railtown, for being there when I needed you most!

Was pleasantly surprised by this place. It's obviously not the Hilton, but I've actually had worse stays at the Hilton! Everything was in working order and clean! Staff was friendly and the beds were comfortable. Thanks!
