Jack's Urban Eats - Elk Grove

We came on a rainy Friday afternoon. They were busy but not crazy. Plenty of parking with lots of room for eat in or to go. You order and then they give you a number and take to your table. They have soda machine, teas and wine as well as beer. We ordered the mac and cheese as well as garlic fried. Buffalo chicken sandwich and the Asian chicken salad.The small fries plate was big with lots of garlic and crispy. The Mac was and cheese was creamy but did need more salt and pepper in our opinion.My Asian chicken salad was light and juicy yet very filling.We had some Chardonnay with our food and the chicken sandwich was great. Nice staff and efficient service.

We met a friend for lunch here at Jack's Urban Eats. We came in and it was busy. We grabbed a menu and looked it over while in line to order. You get to watch the young chefs make other people's salads and sandwiches while waiting. As you make it to the cashier, that's when we made our order. We paid and received the order number sign so they can find you!The inside were completely full of people. We ended up eating outside!! We enjoyed our build our own salad options. You get to pick your greens options and then six other add ons. Then you may pay for the protein of your choice option. Our friend had the blackened salmon salad. We were told it was excellent!! We built our own and it was delicious as well. We were done eating and just catching up on life when a young man came and asked us if he could take our dishes. He was very friendly and said he also enjoyed the salads here as well. Overall, a refreshing healthier options for eating out for us. Friendly staff. Shared parking with other businesses. Clean bathroom was a BONUS for us. Prices are competitive with other eateries. We will be back....

Went here today for the first time and we will be back soon for sure! The BBQ Brisket sandwich was delicious! My daughter had the turkey plate w/asparagus and mashed potatoes- she loved it! My mom had the Turkey Corn Chowder as a side- we'd both order that as a main course- was hearty and tasted so good! Needless to say, we all left full and happy with our orders. The staff was friendly, helpful and welcoming- thank you Jacks Urban Eats team- great job!! The menu has something for everyone and the prices are fair for the vast amount of food- you won't leave hungry.

Friends from Sac just loved to Vegas have always talked about Jacks urban eats. It one of their favorite local spots to each. So just happen they back visiting and able to have lunch with them post race day. Guess only local chain. They have few locations throughout Sac. I went to the Elk Grove location. I like set up open area find spot. U go up counter order then they bring food. Great about kitchen open area. Some things thinking soup of the day made it easier open kitchen see the soup. It exciting able see all food coming out.I settled for soup of the day. Turkey pozole. Bbq tri-tip sandwich. Must cause friends favorite dish Urban fries. The soup was hearty, hot, and amazing. Tri tip sandwich moist, perfect, and the bun best part grill it before get it hot. Urban lives up to the hype. The blue cheese type dressing combine with spicy oil. Works!!! Like is it not drowning on top always have hot crispy frie eating. Overall great food, nice portions, and all reasonable priced. If had one in Vegas be regular for sure!!!

Bad portion. The food portion was small when we ordered in-store. And it is tiny when doordash.I got half of the chicken breast for a order of lemon thyme chicken....

Jack's urban eats has normally been one of my favorite places to eat over the years and I've been to several locations. Laguna being one of my favorites, however, I have to say in recent times at least the last two times including this one so let's say the last three times I've been disappointed. I feel like for what they charge for the food. The portions could be better. The quality could be better as well. The staff is great don't get me wrong. They always have been very friendly and normally I order to go. However, for the almost $27 that I spent including the drink that I did not take a picture of, I feel like I should've had way better quality food. The side of roasted veggies for the portion given, and what was charged as a joke. The quality of this chimichurri steak sandwich, I probably can't even give this portion away to a homeless person. For me to give such a bad review, it really hurts, because I really like Jack's. I normally get to go, the create your own salad with tri-tip added. But when I looked how the portions of the tri-tip have even been more of a sample side. It's led me to not wanna order that because for $18 I'm mainly getting lettuce and even the veggies portions have been minimal. Reading the other reviews it seems that the overall theme is the quality has gone down however the service has been great. I understand prices have to increase, but can the quality at least be there? Can the portions be somewhat reasonable for the prices charged?

EVERY TIME I order something to go, something is wrong. Tonight I ordered a Caesar salad and a make your own salad. Both of them had no dressing in them. So basically we paid money for lettuce. Called a few times 10 minutes before closing time and no one answered. So now we are out on money and out on dinner. Highly don't recommend ordering to go.

One of my favorite places to have dinner in Elk Grove, the remodel is super nice, great choice on the tables, the food is always fresh and hot, and service is great, I really like this location , the turkey is my favorite thing right now, gobble gobble !!

Best salads, so filling and fresh ingredients. Lots is ample seating for small and large groups.
