Island Park

I LOVEEE island park! The sea theme is sooo wonderful and perfectly executed. There are so many sea creature details and also so many different areas for playing and climbing. There's two large playground structures and even a little pirate ship area.. and a sandbox area!!! And that orca is sooo huggable. I came during the fall with my friends, and the surrounding trees become soooo beautifully red and orangey. Very clean place overall too. Lovely setting to picnic at!

Why weren't parks like this when I was growing up ! Theme parks are so "Cool". This one happens to be life on and around an island. To start off with, the park itself is circular in shape just like an island. Islands are usually surrounded by water but in this instance the park is surrounded by homes. This park is just a few years old, completed in 2014. The City of Elk Grove & Cosumnes Community Service District jointly coordinated their efforts to design this fabulous park !The park was built for the whole family to enjoy ! Exercise equipment, 2 separate play area with swings and climbing structures, sand box, shaded structure with multiple picnic areas with BBQ's. The only things that this park lacks in that there are no restrooms and very little shade ! The trees are still very young but in time will provide ample shade.With all the sea life scattered throughout the park this can be a very educational experience for young children as well as for adults.

the kids really enjoy island park. this park also has one pokemon gym and a couple of regular pokemon spin spots.

New park with two large play areas charming island theme. Parking on the street on a round about.No bathrooms, shade is limited, trees are still young but should bring more shade as they mature. Sand bar and grounds are decorated with sea creatures. Two tables are covered and there are no BBQ pits. Watch out for the tiny spiders they are everywhere. Nice area and safe location.

Great place to take the kids out we also brought out our char broil bbq had a blast only thing I did not like was my kids needed to use the restroom and there wasn't one therebut overall good place nice area as well.
