Imagination Playhouse

We visited Imagination Playhouse for a birthday party and felt a bit mixed on the experience for our 3 year old. The play structure itself was definitely a hit - lots of fun slides and climbing areas that kept the kids entertained. However, it's worth noting that it's more challenging for younger kids who may not be tall enough to climb up on their own. I had to climb into the structure quite a bit to help my toddler, so parents of little ones should be prepared for that (my knees were not prepared). Beyond the structure itself, there were some ... issues. The place felt disorganized, and the active construction at the front entrance didn't help. There was no designated area for stroller storage and the front was hard to even get into. Cleanliness was also a concern; we noticed sticky spots and general grime, particularly inside the bathrooms. Food is allowed everywhere, so you can imagine how that goes with a bunch of small kids. Given we had to take off our shoes to access the play structure, I would have liked the floors to be cleaner. At other play places I've been to, there's more separation between the party room and the play area. I'm hoping, based on other reviews, that our experience was less than amazing because of the ongoing construction. Overall, Imagination Playhouse has the potential to be great with its engaging play area, but the disorganization, accessibility/storage issues for strollers, and cleanliness concerns need addressing.

My preschool hosted their holiday party last night here and it was amazing! Susie the owner is so great! She's attentive and made sure all guests (big and small) were comfortable and she never made us feel rushed when it came time to wind down and end the party. My kids had a blast and loved the big slides and even the little reading nook when they wanted to take a quick break! We love coming to imagination playhouse!

Came here on a Thursday around 2pm. It was pretty empty, but the staff was very friendly. It's pretty spacious with both big play structures (climbing, slides, tunnels, ball pit) and smaller play area for younger kids. My 5 year old had a blast climbing and going down the slides. It also checked the ball pit box (which she'd been wanting to experience). Great set up, clean + friendly staff made for a great experience.

We had our daughter's three year old celebration here. Susie was super accommodating and easy to work with. I loved that they have special party set up (we chose hello kitty) so you don't have to worry about decorations. Everyone had a wonderful time! I also love that they have the option to book out more than 3 hours. We booked a 4 hour event, I thought it would be too long but it turned out perfect! Thank you so much!!!

We hosted our daughter's 2nd birthday here and it was absolutely perfect. We made arrangements ahead of time to rent the entire space and paid for a decorating package. Susie was absolutely great to work with and was even able to accommodate our needs for a pink baby shark birthday for our little one. They are super nice and accommodated our group. We arrived and set up the food and did not have to worry about decorations or table settings. It was the WAY to go, no more renting an extra hour just to haul my own decorations and set up before the event. (We did local catering, delivered to the site)The kids had the BEST time, running around and playing in the structures and doing what they wanted to. We wanted a place with flexibility, which is what other play places don't offer (strict times for playing and eating). Even my friends and family had a great time, they could let the kids run around without having to watch every move. We had the whole place to ourselves with staff at the front door to make sure everyone stayed inside. It was great.I would recommend this to everyone, it is easy and by far the best place to host a kid's party in San Francisco.

My family and I attended a birthday party here for one-year-old and absolutely enjoyed ourselves! It's in a pretty busy part of town so parking is not easy. I love how they close the location for parties. It really helps you feel safe and not on high alert. The play area is gated in so it makes it fairly difficult for a little one to slip out. A huge win for any parent in my opinion. They have two slides, two ball pits and an eating area with a good enough space for decorations, food, cake, drinks, etc. The party lasted two hours total. I'm not too sure if you could stay longer than that...I also saw that they offer drop offs starting at $25 an hour for one child.To be honest we had no idea that this place existed in San Francisco but we will definitely consider it for future celebrations of our own!

I recently visited the Imagination Playhouse with my 2 year old and it was a great experience. The indoor playground has a ball pity, multiple slides, and several age appropriate toys. It's a great place to host a birthday party overall this is a great place for familiesiy.

My son had an 8th birthday party! He and his friends had an amazing time! Hosts Susie and Evelyn took care of setup and service throughout the event so it was stress free. They also gave me many ideas on party planning and what to serve. Thank you so much!

We rented out imagination playhouse this past weekend for my son's 3 year old birthday for two hours and had the best time! The ladies working that shift were so helpful in carrying in some items from our car to offering to help blow up the balloons I bought but hadn't gotten around to filling, they even assembled an impromptu ballon arch!! We did bring our own table cloths and decorations, utensils and beverages (ITs byob if you choose this route) then we ordered a cake and pizza from the neighborhood. At the end the ladies took care of the cleanup as well we just had to pack up our stuff. A perfect easy birthday experience, the kids were obsessed with the play structure. It was really nice having the place all to ourselves.
