Ice House Campgrounds

Loved this place. Super clean. I've never used a cleaner porta potty elsewhere. Our campsite was conveniently located near a convenient store that had everything and anything you could ever find yourself needing during a few days camping getaway. It also had a restaurant and a bar. Everything is pretty pricey but you are paying for convenience aswell. I appreciated the store staying open till 10pm. It was our first time and not our last. Loved every minute of our 3 day 2 night stay. Danny it was a pleasure meeting you down in the convenient store. :)

Sites are pretty spaced apart. 2016 cost is $25 a night if you book at the campground that's for the campsite and one car, additional cars will have to pay a fee of $7.00. The sites with the view of the reservoir are big and the views are great. There are no showers only vault toilets in the campground. Each site has a fire ring, table, and grill. Store food in the trunk of your car at night since there are no bear boxes. Ok now back to the views, the campground is far enough from city lights that the night sky is beautiful (if you like to stargaze). Activities wise you can bike, hike, walk and get your heart rate up or you can also grab a book and some drinks and chill by the reservoir, fish, do some water sports. If you want to bring your pet camping they can tag along (for a fee). The camp host sells firewood for $8.00 a bundle.I will definitely be back.

Stayed here for one night before heading to lake aloha. We had to book an accessible site since those were the only left.. The site was really nice and spacious and had a paved pathway with side railings from the car to the camping area. Another paved pathway led to the restroom which was nearby although not too close to bother us. There was plenty of shade and good, flat spots to set up tents. Many sites only have room for a single car though.

Gosh, this place is nice. I really like that the camping spaces are far apart, lots of trees, shade. We were in #48. It was right up against the lake. #49 looked great, too. Bummers--only vault toilets. No showers, no sinks. Also, NO BEAR LOCKERS! Yikes! I would return, but only for a night or two, especially with kids.
