Houseboat Mini-Mart

I can't imagine how anyone would give this establishment less than 5 stars. I would have to search very hard for a negative point. The hamburgers are like the original Wendy's burgers, so juicy and meaty they require extra napkins, which are brought with the meal. My smaller appetite could not finish their smallest burger, or the really yummy fries. Larhonda checks on you soon after the meal is served, and again later; perfect service. The menu is a good variety of breakfast and lunch, the prices are very reasonable. Even the bathroom, which can oft times swing a point, is large, pleasant and clean.

This place is fantastic! If you find yourself in this area you will realize that there are not many places to shop. This place is fantastic and a great find! The staff is friendly and they have everything that you might need. Plus, the cafe is AMAZING!

It was recommended to us as the best breakfast and lunch around Don Pedro Lake by a local, which was quite a claim. . but we decided to try it, and we were very pleased! I had a cheese sandwich on toasted sourdough and potato soup, it was FABULOUS! Hubby had an omelette with hashed browns and toast, it was not only really good, but he is a big eater and barely finished it., It was so huge. Michelle and her friend doing the cooking were very friendly, the service was excellent - we intend to keep going back until we've tried everything! What a great score!

My husband and I just moved to the Lake Don Pedro area and knew there were few places to get food here. Imagine our wonderful surprise at learning they have fresh baked cinnamon rolls every day!!!!! Wow. The store is always clean and the staff is quite friendly. This place is worth a stop!!!!

I am an occasional visitor to Don Pedro Resovoir and happened upon a little store and cafe along the way. I needed to use the Restroom and desired a soft drink. I discovered a clean well staffed mini mart that I would recommend to anyone that needs a drink and a snack, I didnt try the Cafe, but the food they were serving looked good, thats for sure. i noticed that the place was changing hands, apparently the Landlord is taking over. The current owner had to leave because of health reasons. From what the gal said, the current staff will be kept on. I will try the Cafe the next time i am in town.

We have lived in the Lake Don Pedro subdivision for nearly 20 yrs. The places to go and grab breakfast or lunch have been a long drive. The Houseboat now has ME & MA'S Cafe. The food is excellent and service is super. They serve breakfast & lunch from 7a til 3p during the summer months. When you finish your delicious meal you can pick up a few groceries in the Mini-mart. 5 stars from these residents. It's nice to have a handy cafe.
