House of Shaw Café & Bakery

One of my friends recommended me this place and I wanted to check it out since I love cafes. The worker was being super confusing and had an attitude. Me and my bf noticed that the worker was only rude to us, had a very welcoming demeanor with everyone else. Not sure if we just came in at a bad time or what. We ordered a BLT, lox bagel, and caramel macchiato. I thought the caramel macchiato was decent, but my bf said he didn't like it and he drinks coffee much more often than me. Our food was really good though, i'll give them that. I do like how many tables this place has, but the wifi was cutting in and out on my boyfriend's laptop and it wouldn't even connect to my phone even though I tried it many times. I would give the food a 4.5 stars, but it's not enough to make me come back. If the food wasn't that good, I would probably give this place a 2 stars.

This is my new favorite cafe in Stockton! Viktor is amazing, patient and very friendly person. He always takes care of us. The coffee is incredible, the food is incredible and the ambiance is awesomeness. You do not want to miss out.

1st time here, everything was delicious and the service was awesome. So friendly, the restaurant is small but clean and well done. The special ice tea was delicious, the sandwiches were very good too. The gentleman that waited on us told us that the original owner still comes in to make a few of the staple menu items. Definitely going back.

Super place with more offerings than most coffee places. Cafe is true with a nice menu and many great selfie s for a treat. My Mango Iced Tea was a smooth delight. The store, including the restroom, is clean, new, and inviting. Quick to help, the transaction was easy, without a rush and followed my timing. Excellent experience.

It's so fresh... and so clean... from the crispy lettuce, to the shiny tables... and friendly service... I couldn't ask for more on a Friday. The bacon was so crisp too as well as the avocados and tomatoes.... That banana bread was "saved@ for later and is decadent. I was perusing through the reviews of my fave Stocktonian YELP Elites (iykyk)... and they influenced me to check it out today. They know the spots . Check out @Alissa M.'s reviews and Antonio D. It was my first time trying House of Shaw as I have been wanting to go there for such a long time! The environment is nice and reminds me of a small French cafe. My supervisor whose husband did the floors for this place took us here as a treat after work.My coworker and I were treated a little unkind from the male person taking orders though. He was very off putting and short in responses. It seemed our presence bothered him. Such a sassy guy. Couldn't even break a smile to save his day. I must say that he was going back and forth cleaning tables, counting money, and making food during the 25 minutes we were waiting for 2 sandwiches. When asked if our food was almost ready, he said "it's ready when it will be ready." So unfortunate...I may or may not return.

A little too price but their chicken Ceasar salad is the best. The coffee was ok. It was my first time there.

The croissant breakfast sandwich w/ Bacon is a MUST! && the blueberry scones are always delicious 10/10The service is alway pleasant , haven't had a bad interaction to this day. Good ambience for a quick catch up w/ friends or needing to get some work done.

I tried House of Shaw this past weekend and I had high hopes because it's close to my son's practice field. ordered the breakfast croissant sandwich and it was cold, the meat was stale and bread was freezer burn. Ended up throwing the sandwich away after a few bites. For the price, you could go almost anywhere and get fresh breakfast.
