Wow! I didn't know about this park until I was invited to come out and play volleyball here. The park has a huge open field where you can set up a few volleyball nets and still have room for a group to play catch or throw frisbees. It has a really nice trail if you wanted to go for a jog as well.I think I saw two playgrounds, one of them had a water play area which is perfect for the California heat! On one half, they had tennis courts. Great for tennis or pickle ball. I didn't see a wall for racquetball, but that's fine. There was a half basketball court on the other half of the park. I only stayed on one half of the park but I did see a baseball/softball area near the basketball court. I'm not sure if the park is horseshoe shaped but they have horseshoe courts. Overall it's a really good park to hold events like sports get togethers or bbqs.

I love taking my daughter to this park! We have never had any issues with cleanliness except we won't use bathrooms they usually aren't stocked/clean, but the park its self is clean. I love the spray park also perfect for those hot days. There is lots of shade too so while the kiddos are playing in the water you can go sit under the shade

This park is SO underrated! It is huge and absolutely beautiful! The landscaping is gorgeous and it's perfect for a relaxing stroll or you could jog or run the path for a nice scenic workout. There's a big play area for the kids and it's very nice.I do have one critique though, WHY DID THEY GIVE THE HORSES HUMAN EYES? Horses don't have white parts in their eyes like people do and it makes the horses feel SO CREEPY to me. My kids aren't bothered so I really shouldn't be complaining but this is my review so I'll do what I want. lol. Horse eyes aside, this is a really nice park for a wide variety of ages and would also be great for a picnic. If you haven't been and you like a nice pretty stroll or your kids like a playground, you should add this to your list because it was so much nicer and more spacious than I expected. I walked around most of it and I kept being surprised by the nice landscaping and views. It's a really nice place and they did a good job on it!

YEE Hah ! Finally a Western Theme Park here in Elk Grove ! Horseshoe Park has finally opened to the public. The park is part of the Cosumnes Community Service District and is 9 acres in size.Only the picnic and play areas are open at this time. Construction is still in progress on the basketball courts, baseball diamond, open space area and walking / jogging trial. The picnic areas are in two separate areas, both having shaded picnic tables and the larger picnic area having BBQ's.Other great features of the park are that , they have a parking lot, 2 play structures for both younger and older kids to play, 2 tennis courts, 4 horseshoe courts, rock climbing , exercise equipment, and many more activities related to the Western Theme.I am so glad this park is close to home ! Can't wait for the rest of the park to be completed. Got to saddle up and ride into the sunset ! Getty - Up !!!

We love visiting this park when in town with family. The walking trail and garden are scenic and relaxing, and the park itself has lots of play options and seating. Parking is not an issue either.

I took my three children to this park one day just to change things up. It was a great choice. The playground areas are really fun for the kids. There is even a splash pad area that turns on at 10 am. The bathrooms were pretty clean. Overall this park was fantastic and I will be visiting again.

Tiny park with nice playground equipment, walking area, half bball court, small baseball diamond and a tennis court. And little restrooms for humans and dogs (there's a little post with dog poop bags)a for and Elk Grove park, this is pretty nice and not as crowded as others since it is deep in the neighborhood. In other words, if you're non-local, you'd be incredibly lucky to reach this park haven.

This is a beautiful park and my daughter loved. I liked the fact they had a bathroom. And this park was opened in August 2016 ( if I'm correct). The picnic areas are in two separate areas, both having shaded picnic tables and the larger picnic area for BBQ. Other great features of the park1. they have a parking lot ( it's small) but they do have lots of street parking2. play structures for both younger and older kids to play, 3. tennis courts, rock climbing , exercise equipment and etc. Lovely parks and check it out if you're within the neighborhood or love trying parks with your little kiddos.
