Never have I seen a cleaner play place than Hooray Kids! Just opened a few months ago, Hooray Kids, located on the top floor of New Park Mall, is a lively place with a variety of play structures and gadgets for young children to enjoy. Before you enter the play area, there are small arcade games that are played with their tokens (purchased separately). After you check in and pay for your entry, you'll be given a wristband and be able to enter through the remote controlled gates - there is always an operator floating nearby to ensure no child leaves without their guardian. There is a main play structure that seemingly is connected through tunnels and climbing structures. Every end of the structure seems to have some interesting element to promote training physical coordination. Just to name a few, there are slides, netting, stepping stones, swinging logs, and trampolines. There's an underwater theme so there are some transparent sections in shapes of marine life and vehicles.Just across from the main play space, you'll find two other spaces separated by short partitions. One section, you'll find balls with a mechanism that sucks them up to a holding chamber and unloads them periodically. In another, you'll find a section more geared for imaginary play with building blocks (to construct walls of a house), honeycomb structures, and a small ball pit. Before entering any of the play spaces, you'll need to leave your shoes in one of the cubbies (which is plenty big enough for a pair of shoes and perhaps a small water bottle). When walking in the hallway between play spaces and the bathrooms, you're encouraged to wear your shoes. Despite all the foot traffic, the space was clean and tidy. I noticed one staff member dedicated their time to simply vacuuming the space up and down the hall. It was reassuring to know that the space was kept rather orderly while the children ransacked the place in their flurry. At the end of the hall, you'll find a private room that is rather large and can even be partitioned with a curtain to accommodate multiple parties. Furnished with long tables with benches, it's perfect for hosting those birthday parties for the kiddos.Whether you're looking for a place for the kids to burn off some energy for a couple hours or perhaps hosting a party for the little ones, Hooray Kids has a few options for you to choose from. They have monthly passes or prepaid visits that may be enticing for locals who frequent this area of Newark.Given that it's hosted in a rather quiet mall, parking isn't too bad except for the section near Costco. It is on the far end of the mall on the second floor so you'll need to make your way there but it's not hard to find as the mall is easily traversed.Overall, Hooray Kids has plenty for the little ones to enjoy for a couple of hours (and maybe even more if they're enjoying it with their friends). The space is clean and the staff are friendly (they speak Mandarin Chinese if you're looking to practice). If only the mall could host more interesting shops and eateries would this place be more frequented but for now, it seems it's still growing its customer base. If you have a young child or looking to plan some birthday parties for the little ones, give Hooray Kids a shout and see if it's right for you!

I was so excited to see a new place at Newpark Mall in Newark for the kids. When it first opened it was extremely clean because it was new.My son loved this place and we started going weekly, and sometimes twice a week.I have been debating this review, but after my incident last night, I have to share my feedback. The problems I have been seeing:1) Under staffed with many hidden structures and supervision is a must. I supervise my own son but that is not the case with all the parents.2) Staff who speak better English, I was trying to explain a spill to man there for at least 10 mins.3) I understand running a business is expensive, but having those new 10 Tokens for $20 is a rip off, you go on a small moving up and down car for couple of minutes for a token. Then all those winning games outside are almost impossible to win anything, make your money just more stuffed animals so people have a chance to win at least, never seen such machine with two bears only inside. 4) No customer service, mostly a minor at the register checking people in.5) the older the place gets the dirtier it is getting, I really think it is very important to keep to clean and sanitized.6) $25 for two hours is decent even though I do not think anyone really stays there for two hours. But to charge me $18 for fewer than 20 minutes is a rip off. So i get there 20 mins before 7 thinking they closed at 8, but the owner I believe told they closed in 20 mins, so I clearly stated that at this point I am here I have to get my son in even for those 20 mins, so I asked her to charge me full price and give me a pass for an hour not two hours another day which I though was very fair, she refused and her best deal was $18 for the 20 mins, of course by they time my son took his shoes off and used the bathroom, we had about 15 mins left. At 8 pm sharp they turned the lights off, for kids to have a dark place like this all of a sudden is not a pleasant experience, just annouce that you are closed and dim the lights. In any way It was bad customer service and a rip off to charge a regular $18 for 15 mins of playing time. You lost a regular customer who also told so many people about your place. Not anymore unless the place gets improved.

Great place for kids! Only thing I noticed was the smell of the play area near the restrooms in the back was really bad. Maybe they can close the door? It smelled like dirty bathroom throughout the play space, not sure if it's the cleansing solution they use or towels... or the material of the play structure in general. Hopefully they can work on this! Even though it's no shoes in the play area the entire middle hallway allows shoes so I feel like dirt gets carried from one side to other since we have to cross the middle to get to the other side of the play structure. Also the air pressure for the ball suction area was not strong enough, so it was hard at times to get the plastic balls in the funnels.

The most happening place in new park mall. We come here almost every weekend to let the kids run off steam it's a brand new indoor playground and they really care about cleanliness so there's always someone sweeping the floor and cleaning up! Lots of stuff to do where the kids don't get bored ! Fun for all ages! They have a baby area for smaller kids and a bigger kids area for older kids. Slides, jumping trampolines, spinning circles, climbing walls, they have everything! Must try if you have kids !

My daughter and son had a great time in Hooray yesterday. The staffs keep the playground very clean and they're super friendly to children. The price is reasonable in the bay area compare to other indoor play centers, and the location feels very safe and it is convenient. We were able to play the whole day on a weekday. We all love this place in Newark and will definitely come back!

This is by far our most favorite indoor playground. It recently just opened so it's bright and clean, there's no wear and tear of the playground structure yet. The whole staff is attentive and there's one that's always sweeping. They also have free wifi. I brought my nephew and nieces here and they always had a blast. The price is not bad at all either. Definitely a hit and highly recommended.

New play area for kids that opened up recently. It's nice that everything is still new and clean but what I was very disappointed in was the rude employees and it was more than one. I came for a kid's birthday party and we got there right as they opened and were checking in. My friend was confused when they asked her to pay since she assumed it would be free from the party. They then complained "well you never told us you were here for the party" which of course she didn't know she had to mention it. Some places when they host a party close it off for others so we had no way to know, given that it was the first time we went there. Attitude was horrible! I happened to be next to my friend when I overheard all this. Then later I went back in line to sign in too for my kid and they gave me just one wrist band. I was confused and asked where my second one is because I logged in for two kids and they in condescending attitude said "it only for adult". I asked then can I get one for my husband? And they seemed very annoyed by my ask. I was flabbergasted! Why is it a big deal to give me two wrist bands? I assume a lot of adults come in as a couple to take their kids. Perhaps it was because my husband wasn't next to me? And how was I supposed to know if the wrist bands are for the kids or adults? Regardless, horrible two rude employees I met. They really need to train their staff.

"Hooray is a fantastic indoor playground! My kids absolutely loved exploring the massive play structures and bouncing on the inflatables. The facility is incredibly clean and well-lit, and it even smells good - a big plus! The owners were very nice and welcoming. We really appreciated the designated area for babies and toddlers, which kept the little ones entertained while the older kids burned off some energy. The location is also very convenient, with plenty of seating areas for parents to relax. And if you need a break, an H&M is right nearby, so one parent can enjoy some shopping while the other keeps an eye on the kids. Highly recommend Hooray for a fun and safe outing!"

The manager doesn't understand English very well and acts like he doesn't care about making money at all. We try to make a reservation for a school field trip. First he doesn't understand what's a "field trip" and insists charging me for the large party group package which is for 20 adults and 20 kids for $585. Since we would have more than 30 kids and probably only 5 adults. He says the package only cover 20 kids and requires me to pay for each additional one. Then, he starts to brag about how many preschool and afterschool are trying to make reservations with them. Emmmm you call this a manager? Good luck for this business.
