Homes Direct of Salida

Got our home at the price listed, very happy.We started our home buying journey at another dealership in Sacramento and ended up backing out because of piled on fees and expenses that drove the price out of our budget. We then went to Homes Direct, and dealt with Eric, and everything we saw in print was was a true price, with no add ons. Eric also got back to us immediately with our questions, and there was no double talk. Setting up a home is a long process, no matter who you deal with, but In the end, we saved over 100k on the same floor plan we were looking at from the first 'fancy' dealership. With a modular home, you will never get everything perfect, but we are very happy overall with the final product, and Eric stayed with us through some frustrating financial issues. If you want a true deal, with no 'set up' and 'installation' padding on the price, I recommend this dealership.

update two years later..... our roof wasn't properly sealed and we got rain water throughout one sectional and rain damage and cracks on the marriage lines. Finally got them to fix the roof but with the wrong color shingles and they never came back to fix the cracks or repaint the ceilings. :(

Still "homeless"Man why did it take me so long to read the reviews! This answers all of the questions I had! Seeing Sierras review is a wake up call. We were told yesterday about a 10th date extension! So We were expecting a house delivery within the next couple days, and yesterday when Dave called to verify a change the date of COMPLETION has been delayed by two more weeks... Our county permits are about to expire because a year since our permits were approved is coming up. They NEVER call us back. In fact at this point I have talked to Dave and told him I want a phone call from a HIGHER up and he refuses to get me in contact with ANYONE. I can not wait to be done dealing with this company. I'm ready to contact the media and use legal help.

It's been 2 years since tony ripped up my carpet and my home has 3 colors and tony threatened me so yea don't do business with them

When my wife I drove up to the Salida site for Homes Direct, we knew nothing about purchasing a manufacture home or any of the steps it would take to get through the loan or permit promise. Without Dave Bennett, our dream to build a home on the land we had purchased would have been quite an impossible task. With patience, honesty, grace, kindness and sense of humor, Dave spent time explaining the process with us, and his reassurance gave us the belief that we could do it. Dave has been just amazing. Once the home was delivered, Richard G. was our very responsive and can do project manager, ensuring that every issue that came up was resolved and run to ground in a timely fashion. I have no hesitation in awarding Homes Direct Salida 5 stars because of the top shelf professionalism, customer service and dedication to their work of Dave and Richard. Thank you!

Do not buy a home from Homes direct. They're all friendly and everything up until they get their money and then they forget about you. I also recommend not using their contractor because the work that was performed. I could've done better and I'm an accountant. My recommendation is do not buy from Homes direct. They just take your money and do not live up to their promises.

We haven't bought yet but the man Micheal money is an amazing person very friendly and caring . He goes the extra mile to help. I definitely recommend this place. I'm definitely gonna go with this place and buy a home.

WORST homebuying experience EVER! No communication, no concern for the customer and no sense of timeliness. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!

Lies, lies and more false promises and lies to cover for inefficiency. They all cover for one another...If you buy a manufactured home from Salida CA location, you will be in for a most unpleasant experience. sent out my home with wrong model that I ordered. rooms were not the same as model # I ordered. Walls in wrong place. wrong blinds, wrong door, forgot to install crown moldings. Windows installed were all different from Model. Modified my kitchen in such a way it removed 3.5 feet from my dining area which I was never notified. As I had waited so long to get it built, the answer was pretty much they could take it back after it was all set in place.Oh, I ordered Trex decking and rails on front porch but they built cheap wood douglas fir wood. Sales rep talked me into keeping it and extended deck to make me concede. Big regret to this day. This is my "ME TOO" Manufatured Home issue I felt compelled to say something now. Sorry I waited so long....
