As someone from San Francisco, I went out of my way to try Hoki Korean BBQ and Japanese Cuisine, and it was worth every mile. My dad's last picture was taken here, making this visit deeply personal--and I was not disappointed.The food was **phenomenal**. The meat was perfectly marinated and grilled, bursting with flavor, and the fish used were fresh and delicious, and so is the rolls (Lion King and Spider). The portions were generous, and the prices were incredibly reasonable for the quality.The service was exceptional--attentive, friendly, and welcoming. The staff and owner made us feel at home, adding to the warmth of the experience.Hoki Korean BBQ and Japanese Cuisine is more than a restaurant; it's a place where memories are made. Whether you're honoring a loved one or simply craving amazing Korean BBQ, this place delivers. We'll definitely be back.

They get 5 Stars for SERVICE! Their team saved the birthday dinner! It's it an inexpensive option? NO- but it's not unreasonable either. We had dinner for 4- had called ahead to reserve a grill table- which worked out very well. We also substituted some items, which comes at an added cost (clearly says on the menu). Also, there was waaay more food than we could eat- they brought half of it to the back to finish cooking it for us to take as leftovers. I got to say, I LOVE the teamwork! Everyone pitched in to cover drinks, bringing items, clearing items, etc.On a side note, the restaurant was VERY clean as were the bathrooms. When we left and I thanked them for saving my husband's birthday, he was given a gift and they were shocked we didn't say anything earlier.

This place has good ratings and I think it might be mainly because of the Japanese food. This review is for the Korean BBQ experience. I want to make sure people know before they come here:1. They put foil over the grill so they don't have to change them and therefore the flame doesn't touch the meat. You lose that signature kobo flavor.2. They charge $1 for more sauce which I think is just insane and greedy3. They charge $5 for lettuce.. I'm beside myself4. They give you 3 bonchon sides in a plastic container.. they only give you about a table spoon of kimchi.. if that... and then they have the nerve to charge for refill on kimchi... 5. $15 for assorted veggies snd $10 for basically one portobello mushroom cap cut into pieces. Bottom line is that they nickel and dime you for all of the things you would normally get a kobo for free. My wife and I ordered 1 order of Kalbi, veggies, and mushrooms, 2 sides of rice and lettuce for $98!!! Even though it's the only kobo in the area, it's. It worth it, go to Stockton.

We've never been disappointed when we come here always greeted by friendly staff and seated right away . Annie the owner took our drink orders right away we asked her to surprise us with her own concoction and both drinks were delicious. We all ordered different sushi rolls and got their calamari appetizer and scallop honey walnut appetizer. Everything tasted really good will be back again soon .

The service was ok but I wish I had the review first. They are so overpriced it's absolutely ridiculous. They place foil over the grill and then wrap it in napkins so you don't splash. Well there's not enough to splash. The grill doesn't get hot enough so we ended up having to send to the back where they charge an extra price to cook. They also charge extra for every little thing . There was a teaspoon of sauce for 4 people a slice of butter that immediately stuck to the pan because it was aluminum foil. I felt like I was outside camping They also added a 23 dollar gratuity after they added to 6 dollars to use our card. I just don't know how they got so many stars. We ordered three appetizers and one was good. The other two were nasty. We also ordered two rolls. One was good. The other one was almost like tasted like canned tuna. They didn't however give my son a cute cat for his birthday so that was nice.

Let me just say this is probably one of my favorite places to eat at. This place is so delicious and welcoming, the service here is so nice and really do a great job. A plus as well was a clean bathroom, the bar had a very welcoming bartender and amazing music. Overall I would highly highly recommend to anyone that's looking for delicious savory food.

If I can add a couple more stars I totally would! As long time friends, us 4 ladies go out for our birthdays and try new places or one of our favorites. This was by far the best birthday dinner we've had! The friendly waitress Annie (red short hair) was absolutely amazing! Customer service was a 10+++! The food was amazing also!
