Hilma Colton Park

This park is so fun. I love the slides. They are really steep. This is one of my favorite playgrounds because it has so many things for kids to do...It is by a busy street, so keeping an eye on little ones is a must. There is a low gate but it is not completely enclosed. It is across the steeet from the police station. No parking lot. There is only street parking available. The park has swings, a climbing wall, lots of slides and ladders and more. There is a shaded picnic area and benches throughout the park.

Nice little park in Elk Grove neighborhood off Laguna Springs. It's across from City Hall/Police station. There's a covers seating area with two tables and a small bbq pit. It has two play areas; one for smaller kids and one for older. The parks for 2-12 year olds.

Hilma Colton Park is 2.3 acres in size and is part of the Cosumnes Parks & Recreation District. Located in Laguna , City of Elk Grove, California.Named after Hilma Colton whom started out teaching from a one room schoolhouse in Wildwood California , then Davis for 4 years to finally ending her teaching career at Elk Grove High School.She was instrumental in the formation of the Community Service Organization , which helps needy student get educational scholarships.Hilma Colton Park has a large open area for mult-purpose area, paved walkways, covered picnic area with picnic tables, plus 2 play structures. One for the younger children, and the other for the older ones. Both have slides, swings, and climbing structures. This park is well maintained and is perfect for family fun and relaxation.

Across police station kind of small still love it the snail and grasshopper are a favorite!

Great park. My 6 year-old grandson loved the play structures. And a plus....they actually had swings! Many parks no longer do. This park was clean and the lawn was beautifully maintained. Very nice. The only downside was there are no bathroom facilities! We had to drive down to the Chevron gas station!!
