*First time review* Absolutely love this place! I guess I had a sandwich here quite a few years ago, but I don't recall so I'll be calling this a new review. My gosh absolutely fantastic! Ambience is redone, nice bar, attentive staff and big sandwiches! Loved my soup as well.BLAST - bacon lettuce avocado swiss turkey. I ordered mine on sourdough toasted with no Swiss. Absolutely fantastic and they made it as I wanted. Do note it does not come with mayo, you'll need to ask for that if you want it. Tuna Avocado - my mom said it was delicious and it was super loaded nicely with tuna. Pictures speak for itself!

Generally this place is good, when I visit family in Jackson we meet for breakfast on our last day together. My recent visit on Sunday was a bad experience with the staff person just as callous.Eating my scramble I found a very large long hair imbedded in my food while chewing. I was bummed the dish was tasty.I showed this to the server who said she'd remake the dish, and when a new fish came back it was substandard. No flavor, undercooked. The main thing is I expected some sort of concession for having their employee's hair wadded up in my mouth and hood, nothing offered, actually a lack of care overall.It's too bad as I had much better servers who I believe would have gone more to accommodates hair filled dish.Maybe the management who needs to address this might read and respond.

If you are ever in Jackson and would like a great place to dine casually, come visit this place. This was my first time here and at 1:30pm on a Tuesday it was pretty busy. We were seated pretty fast next to the windows.It is great that they serve breakfast here past Noon. I decided to order the Steak and eggs. I requested medium rare for my sirloin steak, however, it arrived med well and dry. I asked our waitress to take a look at it and she was nice about it and agreed it did not appear as ordered. The new steak came out perfectly charred and juicy enough. Great country potatoes with eggs not overly salted. My friend ordered the grillled salmon over salad greens and stated that the salmon was fresh and the greens and dressing complimented it well. I would like to return here to try some other things off the menu. The inside of the place is bright and bustling with energy from quite a few locals. Popular place!

This is the perfect name for this place. Because we are on the highway looking for somewhere to eat. This is smack dab in the middle where we were trying to get to and where were you trying to come from. But besides convenience the food was really good. The bloody Mary's were excellent!

Not familiar with this area at all and there wasn't much to choose from when it came to restaurants. Of course I checked yelp and this place looked promising. The inside looks nothing like what I expected. From the outside, I was expecting more of breakfast and coffee vibe, but I was pleasantly surprised it was not. Our waitress was very nice and gladly split our order of their large burger. The food was actually really good. We were definitely satisfied with our whole experience. If I'm ever in town again, I'll have to try something else on their menu.

Pretty good breakfast and the volume was huge. Why husband and I both skipped dinner after having lunch here. Good service, not overly friendly but efficient and prompt. It was a warm day and inside was nice and cool, cold actually. Water keeps coming and food came fast. Looks like it's local's favorite place to eat. Parking was full and inside was pretty busy. I'd come here again and try other items when I'm nearby.

Lunch today at Highway House was excellent. The side salad was huge and fresh, and served with two dressing cups. Most impressive. The French dip was ample and very good. I have had many French dips from a competing spot and these are far superior. Service was very good and my drink was kept full. The inside is clean and the overall dining area is nicely kept. I will be back again soon.

Love the breakfasts! Always so yummy! The lunch is pretty good but dinners not so much. Great service for the most part and they are dog friendly! You can eat inside or out on the patio. Great for families as well as singles.

Upon stepping in, I could tell this is a local breakfast hub. Lots of classic options like pankcake or French toast combos, and benedicts. I ordered the Country Breakfast and was happy that it came with 4 slices of bacon, when most places usually offer 2. I'll definitely return next time I am in town.

Had their breakfast quiche - spinach and bacon. It was very good! Came with very fresh fruit. Good service.
