Heron Landing Community Park

November 15, 2024 (Rancho Cordova)This is a wonderful community park. It's about 20 acres, with walking trails, play structures, baseball diamonds, tennis courts, bocce ball courts, soccer fields, and basketball hoops. The park borders the wetlands to the south, and is a great place for bird watching (egrets, swans, pelicans, geese, and many, many more). There is a binocular post, so you can view the wildlife up close. (Many thanks to the Eagle Scout who made this happen.)The park is always clean and is well maintained. The restrooms are clean. The city has just installed speed bumps on the street on the north side of the park, and this has slowed traffic down a bit. Makes it safer for all of us.As I was walking through the park this morning (a foggy fall day); it occurred to me how fortunate we are to have this beautiful park in our community.

hi-ya! This community park was so well planned and maintained with a lot of care. The fields are green, playground--so innovative and clean, and baseball fields just spot on georgous. All I can say, it the Mello-Roos must be expensive. But on a serious note, we've been here before for soccer games and just to play.I think one of the nicest things about the park is the clean walking paths they have and if it's hot, water sprinklers that shoot water up for kids to play in are situated near the playground.I know my photo isn't a great one, but it was a sunny morning and the ground was excellent to easily turn our oversized umbrellas into and watch the game.

My kids loved this place! A lot of different activities , suppurate playground for toddlers and older kids which is great . Great place to bring your kids when it is 90 degrees outside so that they can play with the water .

Splash pads, bathrooms, tons of climbing stuff for big kids, sunken trampoline, swings, spinny things, tennis courts, soccer field, baseball field, bocce ball, picnic tables, area for little kids, sandbox. Lots here!

On Sunday my boyfriend, daughter and I decided to visit this fun splash park! She had a blast running through their big splash pad as their automatic fountains shooted out at her and my boyfriend! She also enjoyed playing in their sandbox, swinging on their hammock like swing, jumping on their flat trampoline, rocking back and forth of their big rocking car! She even met a couple friends there she enjoyed climbing, spinning and giggling with! I would HIGHLY recommend this incredible park, it was the best park we have ever been to!! Their comfy rubber padded floors at their playground was worth it enough for being a parent! It feels great on your feet! Let's just say we will definitely be back again and again!

This place is so COOL! Just opened a few days ago! Lots of stuff for kids. Splash area, swings, baseball field, picnic tables, bathrooms and tons of stuff to climb. In case your worried about kiddos getting hurt , its inevitable but they do have padding under the play structures that kids climb to ease the fall. There are some areas that have covered picnic areas but I am sure its RSVP through Cordova Rec. Very CooL!

A wonderful park for families! It's nice, well maintained with different play structures for various age groups. It has a splash pad, mini trampoline and sandbox.

My all time fav park. My son n I go all the time early in the morning which is nice because no one is out their. Also, water play comes on at 10 am n the time he real fun begins. It also has shaded climbing stuff which is super cool. Since it gets so hot

Nice park for the kiddos. Plenty of okay area, water from the water park isn't freezing cold. Perfect for kids to play & cool off. There's also Soft padding in the Park area
