HERBST DISCOUNT LIQUORS

Small liquor store in the same strip mall as Dantes pizza. For a small store these guys have a great selection of craft beers. Ive been going here on the weekends and grabbing a couple of russian river beers. They are hard to find in Stockton and Herbst always has em fresh. Are the prices the very best... no they are not... but i dont mind paying a local small business tax and supporting the community. They also have a vast selection of liquor. Especially bourbon. Customer service is great as well. I havent gotten the gentlemans name who works the counter, but he is always super helpful and is in a forever great mood. If you want something obscure or craft this is a great place to go.

Try not to use your debit card or credit card here. I was charged an additional 2.25 without my knowledge. Scanning and scamming sounds like a good motto for them.

Came to get something to drink since the restaurant we got food from didn't have drinks, we came here, and got some Calypses and wow this place has everything, literally, everyone type of liquor, and beer, and the staff was very friendly, and very knowledgeable, and I felt really amazed of there entire stock of liquor and beers, and even regular drinks. Thanks everyone.

It's amazing how much of a selection they have here! It was a random stop to this store because my brother and I wanted something to drink after stopping at a new Filipino restaurant (new to us) for food. I actually was walking across the parking lot feeling a bit uncomfortable because people were staring like I didn't belong but a few were actually quite friendly smiling and waving hi to me. As I walk in, we didn't want liquor but I noticed a HUGE selection of all types of alcohol but not today, sadly. Lol I went around searching for juice to eat with our food and found they had a good choice of calypso drinks, I've never seen so many flavors I was excited. As I wait the usual 6 ft COVID-19 distance I finally arrived at the counter to purchase the drinks (again, it's just juice) the employee was VERY friendly and chill.This place is pretty epic, if I'm ever back in northern Cali for a vacay, when I'm able to have some real fun with drinks, I would def stop at this liquor store so I can get what I need but OVERALL I'm pretty sure if you're looking for alcohol/liquor they will have what you want. I saw a lot of things in there you don't see at a usual small chain liquor store. The supply here is great and staff are friendly and awesome, thanks guys!

The selection of beer is awesome for Stockton standards. I found a bunch of IPA's that were awesome.

I always like coming in here from time to time to see what new craft beers they have in stock. They always have a great assortment and i always seem to find a hidden gem. Be warned the pricing can be a bit much compared to other locations but they do have one of the best selections around.

DO NOT SHOP HERE! They double the price on almost every alcohol items. $40 for 24 pk Michelob Ultra that is normally priced at $18-22 regular grocery store. $80 Hennessy privileges normally priced at $50-55. Only went there because I didn't want to go empty handed to a party. Not even worth 1 star.

The staff Abe and Basil are great people. Friendly, helpful, caring and the store is clean and fully stocked at all times

Great selection. Nice and knowledgeable workers. Just a little pricey which is ironic since part of the name is "discount".

The store and the owner is great. It has good selection of liqours and beers however it's really expensive. One time i bought 18 pack of heineken from here for $37, not sure why it is that expensive.
